i think that Caleb would lay out a plan for careful courtship with Essek where they're very clear about their boundaries and intentions and want to proceed with caution because of where they are in their lives. but i also think he would Lose all control and make out with him immediately when they inevitably return to the necromancy gem and Essek uses some fancy dunamancy to get it for him.
