The time has come for me to finally have my relaxation day! Well, it's actually a grand family reunion set in a nice beach and pool resort. I can already smell the chlorinated water and hear the glorious beach waves. Ahhhh-- refreshing! However, I got so excited that I forgot what I was going to bring. Luckily, I have my list of things to bring so, let's check it out!
1. Bag (Beach bag or backpack) and Extra Plastic Bags
Of course you need it to carry your stuffs.
I prefer a (travel) backpack because it is very easy to carry and it can hold more stuff than a beach bag can. Honestly, I don't go to the beach carrying a beach bag because first of all, that does not exist to me and second, I commute. By the way, extra plastic bags are for wet clothes or trashes.
2. Bathing suit, Swimming trunks, and Extra Clothes
You can't go home wearing your wet clothes unless you have a car. Some resorts don't allow people to swim without a proper swimwear so it is advisable for you to bring bathing suit or swimming trunks. Don't forget to bring extra clothes to wear when you change or just in case someone has forgotten to bring spare clothes. Also, you can wear your bathing suit under your clothes (that's what I usually do) so you can just jump into the pool/beach when you feel like it.
3. Moisturizing Lotion and Sunblock
Who doesn't hate getting sunburned? Aside from moisturizing lotion, sunblock is a must if you don't want to be grilled by the raging flares of the sun. *crickets*
4. Hygiene Kit (Deo, Toothbrush, Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, etc.)
Bring those things, you need it -- Unless you want your hair to be as stiff as a wire. I suggest you take a bath after swimming for several hours to prevent your hair from breakage and damage and of course, to prevent yourself from smelling like bleach or something... Oh! Don't forget your toothbrush! Bruh, chlorine won't clean your teeth.
5. Towels
Do I have to explain this, guys? Use this to dry yourself, of course. Bring extra for those who forgot theirs. Seriously? Who forgets towels?
6. Comb or a Brush
It's good that you have it in your bag if you don't want to wake up in the morning with eggs on your head. If you don't get the joke, just bring a brush or a comb to comb out your hair. That's it! I cri.
7. Sanitary Items (Tissues, Napkins, etc.)
It is advisable to bring those items especially for girls like me. You don't know when a red tide will come. You sure don't want to pay for making the pool smell fishy.
8. Drinking Water, Food, Foods and More Foods!
When I am in the water, I forget my hunger or don't feel hungry at all. If you're like me, you still need to bring food, bubbles. You still need to eat (a bit) even when you don't feel like it because only your laziness doesn't want it, your body needs it.
9. (Optional) Sunglasses, Beach hat, Goggles, Inflatables, Swimcap
As stated above -- before the specific items -- these are all optional. However, I always bring my favorite sunglasses with me because I look good with it. Talk about lifting my own chair. Lol! I don't wear swimcap or goggles, I don't need it, but I put it in the list if you do. It's more fun to bring inflatables if you're going with children.
10. Sandals or Flipflops
I once regretted not wearing flipflops when I was taking pictures with rock formations. I was climbing when my foot slipped and my sole had a cut. It was bleeding so I decided to wash it with the saltwater, it hurt at first but I got used to it. Please wear flipflops for your own safety. It also prevents you from slipping.
Those are everything I have in my list. If I have forgotten anything, leave a comment down below (though I'm not sure if anyone would see this) so I would know it but those are all what I usually bring. So I hope my list was a great help. That is all for today! Thank y'all and ba-bye!
May your day be as beautiful as I am. Lol!
P.S. Don't forget your phones and cameras. Ya'll gonna need it to capture the sweet moments. xo
