so. let’s talk. lets bring some facts into this. lgbt homicides doubled in 2017. in 2016 there was the pulse nightclub shooting in miami, florida, killing 49 people and wounding 53 at a gay bar. brazil has the highest lgbt murder rate in the world with over 380 people in 2017, a 30% increase from the previous year. none of the numbers above accommodate for the lgbt people who feel so guilty about their sexuality that they kill themselves. this doesn’t account for the people beaten and abused for their homosexuality. 

homosexuality is illegal in afganistan, algeria, iran, iraq, malaysia, pakistan, saudi arabia, the uae, sudan, kenya, and 69 others. homosexuality is legal but you can harm lgbt people legally in indonesia, russia, jordan, the dominican republican, and the west bank. 

though homosexuality is no longer considered a mental illness in china as of 1997 and technically legalized, the government still pushes an anti-lgbt agenda and propaganda. they even went as far to make it illegal to put homosexual couples or people on television. 30% of people under thirty in china support gay rights, while it’s 15% over thirty. in russia 2017, there was the anti-gay murders in chechnya where 100 men were kidnapped and tortured. the government essentially told its residents to murder their gay children or the government would. homosexuality is technically legal in egypt, they use law 10 against prostitution to criminalize gay men, lesbian and transgender people for even waving a rainbow flag. there was a story where police officers were legally allowed to beat the people they arrested

you know what i didn’t find? statistics about how many people were murdered for being straight. or. any countries where being heterosexual was illegal. but you can off about straight rights i guess

syphax: everyone sees him as someone married to his duty, and his capricorn sun, fair and dutiful, has no trouble appeasing to that. but the people who know him deeply, know he is a big softie. he would give everything and more to the people he loves, and it shows in his scorpio moon and ascendant.

kamilah: saying she is a woman of many layers is an understatement. to people who know her superficially, her risk-taking, take no shit, self-preservational attitude comes from her aries sun. if you peel back a layer, you will see someone with a surprisingly big heart, she is just scared to love, and it shows her virgo moon. if you see her how she sees herself, you will see her capricorn ascendant. someone who is a workaholic, guarded and ruled by a sense of what will be the smart choice.

liam: the true altruistic. he expresses his emotions with a lot of caution, mostly because it’s what he was trained to do, so his instinct would be to be very openly emotionally (you can tell that when he gets rejected), so i feel like his moon sign would be a water one, my best guess being a cancer moon. he presents himself - to the people he trusts - as someone who cares deeply, albeit very carefully. he pays attention to details and can be very critical of himself, so i’d guess he has a virgo sun. he would have a capricorn rising, since even away from prying eyes he lacks the ability to let go a little, a lot of the time being too focused on work and his duty.

grant: where he overlaps with liam is his selflessness, and i feel like they might have the same cancer moon. but where liam’s sun makes him care very carefully, grant’s way of loving is more open and he goes all in, so my guess is he has a libra sun. paired with an aquarius rising, that gives him the need to distance himself from his father’s way of being a lawyer into his way of wanting to make a change.

adrian: what he has in common with the other two is his inherent need to be morally good but it manifests itself in his capricorn rising, coupled with an aquarius sun, shows itself in his way of dealing with issues in the council - sometimes unorthodox, but always focused on the greater good - and he tends to show his emotions passionately, without much of a filter, but always very considerately of the other person, so i’d guess he has a scorpio moon.
