In 1997, 25 years ago, Peter Schwartz and Peter Leyden wrote a Wired article with the title The Long Boom. The point was not to predict the future but to paint a bright image of the future in order to open up our thinking to the possibilities. The list above listed the bad things that could lead us away from the positive scenario described in the article.

So...if I can handle being corrected on incorrect pronunciations that I once perpetuated in my childhood, then I don't see why the rest of you can't! You don't see me referring to Kyogre as "kee-OH-gray" anymore, so quit getting pissy when the canon corrects you on how to pronounce Hadoken, Tidus, Luxord, or whatever!

Sakurai reading the results of the Fighter Ballot in 2015:
Sakurai and the Smash team are great at making the impossible, possible.
"He's too big to be in Smash"
"They're owned by Nintendo's competitor"
"She's just a spirit, they aren't allow to become fighters "
"He's owned by Disney"
Well guess what? All those restrictions are all shattered into million bite-sized pieces, and I'm glad these characters are here.
Sora in Smash Bros. The Nintendo/Disney collaboration comes full circle.
