Evan is true good. He definitely wants to do the right thing but he doesn’t know a lot about laws or rules, and doesn’t necessarily trust those bodies of authority. He’s also not going to pull a Robin Hood unless under duress. He’ll support his chaotic friends but is never going to be the cause of such chaos.

Abila (Abi) (who I haven’t spoken about but is kind of a second main character in the same story, or will be) is chaotic good. He’s ready to spit The Man in the eye. He comes from a realm that celebrates community and actually knows what checks and balances really means. He’s mischievous but more levelheaded than chaotic good characters tend to be, but he’s too anti-establishment (or whatever the fantasy version is called) to be true or lawful.

Your studies are very inspiring 😭😭 do you have any strategy how you do them? And also, what brush do you use?

Thank you so much!!!! Just me struggling to get better.....

I try to do about 20min gesture drawing just to get my hands warmed up, then do a slight in-depth study (not really ..) of a certain part of the muscle. These days i'm looking a lot around the torso just because that's the part I draw the most.

My focus is always trying to make either both gesture drawing or anatomy study applicable to my own style, so making sure these studies aren't wasted time. It also helps me to think what I'm trying to learn here specifically, for example sometimes I really want to focus on what happens to the collar bone, how does the bone's edge look when the arm is pulled backwards? How does the rib cage protrude when the body is arched back?

I also tell myself that as long as it's a habit and as long as I do something, that's worth it. I don't want to push myself to impossible goals like "100 gesture drawings a day" or "nail anatomy in 1 week" etc. (I used to think like this which was setting myself up for failure)

But most importantly, and probably you heard this millions of times, is to enjoy it. Have fun and don't put too much pressure on yourself!

honestly one of my favorite things about fanfic is when you can see the canon influences come out in really subtle ways. like a canon line thats mentioned once as a throwaway is suddenly the entire premise for a fic or it influences the characterization or something. its just so cool to see how people weave their ideas around a source material, especially if its not a detail i'd thought about before

After research, a Star personality is:

A hopeful healer who brings light to dark times. The Star as a person is inspiring, gentle, and makes everyone around them feel renewed.

I’m crying cuz why is this perfect. I’ll have to do a drawing for my other characters this was fun 🥰

I truly don’t think people realize how dingy and dark most movies and tv shows actually are so they can’t appreciate the work and skill it takes to make gifs look the way your brain “remembers” it looking.

Another before and after example:

This gif needed 6 different adjustment layers, not including the sharpening process, which is its own separate challenge. The blue window was also changed to green to keep the palette more consistent and to reduce the range of colors needed, because a wider range of colors generally results in worse gif quality since gifs only support a max of 256 (compared to the millions your monitor can display).

• They memorize where every exit is in a room

• They check their phone repeatedly after sending a message, worried they said the wrong thing

• They freeze when asked a simple question, like they’re calculating the safest answer • They over-explain tiny mistakes before anyone reacts • They clean up messes that aren’t theirs without being asked • They listen for footsteps in hallways before relaxing • They downplay their own pain with humor or sarcasm

• They check locks more than once before bed • They leave shoes near the door, ready to leave quickly

• They wake up instantly at small sounds while others sleep through them

• They carry painkillers, snacks, or water everywhere “just in case.”

• They don’t like closed doors.

• They test people subtly to see if they'll leave

• They sit near walls or corners, rarely the center of a room.

• Loud noises don’t scare them anymore, they just go very still

• They apologize automatically, even when nothing went wrong
