Kandi was a minimum wage grocery store employee working under a mysterious chain of local, socially elite management that never disclosed anything about their lives besides their social standing and connection to each other. Hired on a whim due to lack of staff, bosses and supervisors alike disliked them for their alternative appearance and how they did not follow policy with an iron fist. Kind hearted, they oftentimes would sneak nearly expired food from mandatory disposal to food pantries and nearby homeless people. When the local needy begin to linger near the store, understanding Kandi may provide aid, their management was disgusted. To curb their empathy to the hungry, management gathered to cast a hex on Kandi. They now harbor an entity that cannot stand mortal fare. They will become sick at even the sight of normal food, craving only the bleach and harsh chemicals that would otherwise be used as deterrents to those who seek a nearly spoiled meal. Unable to keep their job because of their corrupted appearance, Kandi seeks to ruin the chain they were once an employee of before their savings are depleted and work beckons them once more.
