so he's not super irrelevant! he literally does not appear in any scene whatsoever and no time, the only canonical appearance of this cat is in the allegiances (2x) — and we just know that he is: "a brown tom with black ears", that's it, all of that cat's canon stuff.
now that you know that, why would I like this character? no, he can't even be called a character, he has no personality, no appearances, no connections, absolutely NOTHING, I would say he is a blank space, a blank that I can just fit in a nonsensical story that no one can really refute me, because he has no information, how would you say it never happened? How is he out of character if he doesn't even have a personality? Mudthorn isn't a character, he's an idea, an idea that hasn't been filled in or used, and now I'm going to use that idea.
now seriously, is he one of the coolest named blank characters not used for anything? yeah, that's one of the most valid reasons but there's also the fact that every time someone go to the random character part on the wiki it will appear some of the time. every damn time, it happened 6x to me, that I just decided: this cat wants to be my OC.
