cringe culture has done so much damage to how fictives are viewed and it's wild when you think about it

you have people who are desperately trying to prevent fictives, especially fictives of their favorite character, for pretty much no other reason than they're embarrassed about it

even if you do feel too much shame about it, you don't even need to share who your fictives are, fictives aren't something you're tainted if you have

like when you really step back it's like damn why are we letting gatekeepers on the internet police what we do in our own heads to that degree

AND RIGHT AFTER I MADE THAT MAP— anyways, I kinda supposed this would happen, considering how I consider myself even before syscovery as "the god of my ocs" as like. Part of my persona lore. But now that I'm actually an alter, that just like. Manifested into a subsystem, lol.

The strangest part is that only some of our ocs became octives, while others stayed as ocs. Huh.

I will say it is kind of amusing having a fictive of a character I'm Incredibly attached to the source of because there are certain hyper specific headcanons I have that are Not applicable to the headmate and some very specific traits of the headmate that I would never in a million years associate with his source. but he's also incredibly tied to the very specific interpretation of his source that I have because I was lowkey using the character as a vessel for working out some personal insecurities via projecting until he uhh stopped being just a character I could project those traits onto and started being A Headmate With Those Traits. whoops
