finally finding the courage to get out of their physically abusive relationship, muse a decides to leave their significant other. things turn violent and muse a ends up in the hospital after a brutal beating from their ex. muse a feels broken and fears they won’t feel truly safe with someone ever again. muse b is a nurse that works on the floor muse a is staying on. muse b takes a interest in muse a and does sweet things to try and bring some joy to muse a’s day. dropping off flowers, playing cheesy board games, swapping funny stories of their youth. muse b becomes protective of muse a and sees they are falling for muse a. muse a is still fearful about trusting someone, but muse b is determined to prove they would never harm a hair on muse a’s head.

“Thank you,” smiled the man, and sat down. He let out a soft sigh, he was tired, more than he initially thought but after resting all his weight on the bench it felt relieving. He unpacked his food and started eating, a little bit slower than usual but he had to kill time before his meeting. 

“Nice weather, don’t you think?” Minkyu was typically talkative and that was the start of it.

Satoshi had gone back to looking at the photos, deleting the useless ones and zooming in the best ones to dig for any details that could make the headlines, but quickly turned his camera off when he heard the question. It would be an embarrassing situation if the other noticed the subject of the pictures, he could even be taken for a stalker. “Yes, a favorable weather for me,” he replied with a smile, but from his voice one could notice he was slightly nervous.

Only then he perceived the food on the lap of the other male, causing his stomach to rumble. Time had gone by so fast, it was already lunch time and he hadn’t eaten since morning. “Is that good? Maybe I should stop by and grab something there later,” he tried to cover up for the awkward moment his own body had caused.

A quick scan to the place and he could tell there was nowhere to sit, his food had to be to go because it was easier to carry around a bag instead of a tray until he could find a place to eat. Minkyu wished he could have had the time to go home and return but he was too far from home to do that.

“Sorry, is this seat taken?” He asked the person sitting on one edge of the bench, he wouldn’t have asked if any other bench was available but there was not and he was starving.

Satoshi was sitting on a bench while looking at the photos he had taken during the morning. Some celebrities lived in the area and he often could take some good shots if he was patient enough, but unfortunately there was nothing compromising that day. It seemed the headlines next week would be ‘actor X going to the gym wearing weird pants’ at most, if things kept on like that he would have to come up with unfounded rumors. 

 A male voice made him turn his head, widening his eyes slightly as he wasn’t expecting someone to talk to him. “Oh, no, I’m by myself. Feel free to sit down,” he said with a smile, trying to sound gentle.

     Charlie was sleeping in his apartment, enjoying a day off when his phone rang. Wincing, either eye cracked open as he rolled to the left to pat around for his phone, realizing it wasn’t there a head lifted. With furrowed brows and barely opened eyes, it wasn’t where he left it. As the phone continued to ring, hands frantically searched all over the bed space and found it not present. Wiggles must have got it again. Moving off the bed, it did not sound as though it was in their ferret nation cage- but then.. where could it be? Trying to focus on the source of noise, it still sounded like it was on the bed. By the time realization hit him, it had went to voice mail. Just as he’d begun to heave a sigh, it started ringing again. 

     With a grunt, Charlie’s expression faltered as he looked under the bed- and lo and behold there it was up against the wall. Unable to reach under the bed between ferret toys and dirty clothing, he went to the end of the bed frame and pushed it away from the wall to retrieve the phone and answer;”Yobseyo?” Commenting in a groggy tone while a right hand lifted to rub his tired face. It wasn’t his day job that called, rather his /other/ job. Something about trying to buy art from someone? It didn’t make a whole lot of sense, but it wasn’t the job to ask questions and he of all people knew that. After a brief conversation, he begun his wake up routine. 

     That morning Hyungdae was setting up new paintings that would replace the ones he had sold a few days before. An artist he had recently started working with had attracted the attention of a regular customer, so he wanted to have new pieces before their next visit. Of course he could just stay in his office while the delivery workers and his assistants hung them, but that wasn’t the Hyungdae way of doing things. The placement had to be perfect, the frames had to be aligned down to the millimeters, and no one had a sharp eye like his own. He asked one of the assistants to tilt the painting downwards, pull it a little to the left, no, it was too much, now to the right. The worker tried to keep a straight face, after all they were dealing with the gallery owner. In the end, like always, Hyungdae got mad and dismissed everyone, fixing the disposition by himself. 

     He took a few steps behind to check if the pieces were displayed the way he wanted, when he noticed a man walking through the back door. The delivery workers must have left it open, how didn’t anyone notice? He sighed while a gallery assistant tried to explain politely that the place wasn’t open yet and he listened to the conversation trying to find out what they were doing there so early in the morning.
