Alhamdulillah before I even converted to Islam I stopped eating pork because of the bad things associated with it and I was on the path to converting but when you serious about religion you will change, the things you eat from the clothes that you wear to the way you act and etc. So if God commands us to do this, or dont eat swine, blood etc then we should obey Allah.i use to love pork lol but alhamdulillah I stopped, If God says something is bad for you it is such as drinking, fornication, worshipping idols and when He says something is good for you such as praying, charity, fasting, dont consume interest, and etc its good for you theres always wisdom behind Allahs commandments/laws and you can clearly see it is even in the bible it says not to eat pork, and his commandments are in there, and when I was a christian I didnt care that I ate it, along with other stuff...alhamdulillah I've came along way.
