okay, i'm done. i'm saying i'm done so now i'm done with this haha.

these aren't their actual colors- well, they are, in a sense. i just simply used gradient maps in order to get a better idea for how i would like all my girls to be colored. i'll finalize their colored designs another time, but the main focus of this was to get their base designs done. their silhouettes. i wanted to lean wafer and witch away from being just "swaps" of wizard and strawberry cookie, and instead try to base them more on their ideas. or well, make them their own characters? i know witch doesn't look "witch"-like, but if i'm to be honest? going stereotypical witch just wasn't working for her. and wafer is less "shy" and more "reclusive" if anything. bright didn't really change much? but i think it's fitting. i do like exchanging her dress for a more romper/jumper type of outfit though. also, also, more bows!! she's no longer a magic user but a charger, just like gingerbrave. i have the non-gradient mapped designs right down here. i don't know what else to say, hah. just really wanted to get these down somehow. we've all been in a creative slump this summer...

i'm probably gonna take a break, aka, step away from front. busy busy day tomorrow for us and i'll need to be fronting for majority of it.

after many tries, so many abandoned wips.... progress has been made!

the third redesign of my girlies from my "mixing bowl of fates" crk au is underway! whooo!! so sorry for the radio silence here, but we've all been super busy with irl stuff and had a pretty bad case of art block. also, hyperfixating on certain things, so uh- yeah. don't got much more to say, hah. probably will have more at a later date. hope you all have a good evening!

Hello! I haven't posted here in some time, haha. A lot happened back in February, but that doesn't really matter right now. I wanted to post some doodles, one old and one I did today for our host, Loki.

I knew our host, Loki, was having troubles with Witch Cookie's design. So I wanted to jump in just a bit and give it my own take, haha. I do hope It likes what I've drawn!

I had SOO much more fun drawing him than his previous version. He's so pretty guys, omg, my BOY!! He's based upon that one design from Shadow Milk's Backstory thing. It fit the vibes so well, and also, he doesn't get "properly" Shadow Milk-ed until his show. Sigh, Until next time I guess. ... I just realized I forgot his gloves- JUST KNOW HE NOW WEARS LIKE BALLROOM LENGTH BLACK GLOVES. (head in hands, I'm such a failure. wouldn't ya know it, i drew the third. welcome in the new and improved wafer cookie! if you wanna see her friends and their own interactions w/ @potatotato-26's kiddos, head on over to this post here. i think these two would've had some beef, not like- arguments or anything, but silent glaring as they assessed one another. wizard is basically cat, and wafer is bird. there would be some suspicion on either end. but once vibes are assessed, it's frens. wafer has the bag of many trinkets of course. just don't touch her flip-phone. anything but her flip-phone and things will be smooth sailing. anywhoo, some funfacts about wafer. she's trans, she got that t-girl swag, and is also the oldest out of the girl trio. often taking on a sort of 'mom friend' but not really? lets just say she has her head screwed on tighter than the other two most of the time. gingerbright has been on the receiving end of a few head smacks. though those two tend to roughhouse every now and then. witch cookie has and will be picked up by wafer. just scooped up from under the shoulders and carried off. her color palette was inspired and kinda pulled from this post here. i really liked glitchgirl0812's recolor/sprite edit of wizard and thought it would fit wafer better than the og color scheme. check em out! i've also figured out the ages for all three girlies. in order from youngest to oldest. witch cookie(14), gingerbright(15), and wafer cookie(16). although, wafer has just recently turned 16, and is actually only older than gingerbright by a handful of months. close up of doodle here to end off this post.

it's a three man day, but a one man act.

heya! wow, been a minute since i checked in. i was gone for... uh- how long? ... four days? checks out. shamil (my co-host who has officially decided to scream about himself online) has been working on and writing the story "i'll confess after curtain's call" which the post that announces it being hyperlinked right there. i helped in my own ways, sorta jump starting the idea because- hot damn i had the greatest daydream and just had to scream about it to shamil. he then took my ideas, refined them, added his own spin and flare, and now we're here. a time ago he had asked me "can you draw my sillies? fount (sage + shamilk) and pv?" i was like "bet" and then proceeded to draw fount and then shamil drew the other two. no pv yet- but he'll draw pv at his own time. we've come to an understanding that the art skills aren't just limited to me, which is great. i'll draw my things, and he'll draw his. i do recommend you check out "i'll confess after curtain's call." it's shamil's first work and he's so proud of it. i'm also proud of him for writing it. i love the story, how it's been plotted out, i honestly can't wait for the next chapters haha. extra image below:

aha, i finally did it, i finalllyyy did that crossover!! i sent that ask so long ago, oh my goodness. sadly no wizard and wafer cookie... i only had the energy to draw these four. they'll have some interaction... someday... i will make it happen! (wafer needs his redesign.) p.s. make sure to look at the alt text for more context.

strawberry cookie and gingerbrave are from @potatotato-26's "misplaced virtues au" i love it so much- i gotta get caught up on all the new lore and info that's been dropped, aha. witch cookie and gingerbright are from my own swapped/mixed au "mixing bowl fates" they have a third, wafer cookie, but for now it's just the two of them. dunno- maybe wafer tucked himself away into a nearby nook and just hasn't come out.

originally, the little crossover interaction was gonna be between blueberry milk cookie (mixing bowl's shadow milk) and well- the sage of truth. but i tried to do that like two times and it was not working out. so, i decided "hey? why not have the kiddos interact? it'll be a simple funny sketch." it was not a simple funny sketch- dunno how old the ginger trio is in "misplaced virtues," they give off tween vibes- but my silly group of kids are around their early to mid teens. think like... 14-15? give or take? they've got an air of maturity to them but are still young enough to make not so great choices, haha. stupid lil teens, i love them so much. extra images below

Drawing Shamilk's twisted form was a real time in a half. The beautiful chaos of it all is both extremely fun to draw, yet also rather time consuming. Many spoons were used... so many spoons. Originally I was gonna draw this all in grey-scale, with pencil hatching, but I decided against it in the end. The grey-scaled images you do see was a simple matter of saturation layers and some texture. Give it the "vibe" of a manga panel, which these art pieces are based off of. It's the two panels with child Uraraka and Toga from MHA. One with the monstrous Toga and then the other with both as children. It just fit these two so well.

The child version of Shamilk, referred to in my layers as simply "Fount," was meant to look almost... swaddled in his clothing. Coloring his wavy bonnet and nightgown like First Milk. All nice and cozy, with his little wolfsheep plushie. There was also the chance he would've looked like the beta child disguise that Shamilk could've dawned- but I decided to lean more into what we've managed to see of the fount. Give it my own spin. Child Pure Vanilla was also very nice to draw, very simple. wanted to give him some goat traits, just a smidge, haha. ... He'll never stop reaching a hand out. He's already lost Lily, he's not losing his other half now too..

buddy helped me plot out the faerie body type- at least, a reference point Faerie Cookies are completely androgynous. I don't know if I want them to just... like... not have reproductive parts or perhaps have a singular "both" option? I'm leaning towards a more asexual kind of reproduction Birthing new faeries from flowers, or plants, or something along those lines. It's why their wings have the veins/shapes of leaves, and they have a somewhat "bee" kind of vibe going on. Also a reason for perhaps a more feminine kind of body, as all worker bees are female. The only time a male bee is born is as a drone, and their sole purpose it to procreate. Ah, now the thoughts are brewing. Faeries reproduce asexually, and are raise not as "boys" or "girls" but instead as simply "children." There is no assigning of gender at birth, as there really is no difference between faerie genders. This doesn't mean they don't have gender expression, or that the idea of being "a girl" or "a boy" doesn't exist. It's just something that is completely left up to the individual. Though I could see most Faeries preferring to stay in the middle, "nonbinary" so to say. ... Anyway, Radiant Salt (Silent Salt's MBF counterpart) is actually a faerie cookie. Giggling and kicking my legs. Oh this helps so much also with Powdered Sugar (Eternal Sugar's MBF counterpart), as in the still baking lore of my world, Faerie Cookies and Cherub Cookies are more closely related than they are to that of other Cookie races. aandd, Cherub Cookies are more related to birds than they even are to that of Faerie Cookies! There's lore, I promise. We'll get to that at a later date- hopefully,

Kinda tired, rambling about the image and it's inspirations further down.

anyway, here is Blueberry Milk cookie but colorized edition. Basically just a small chibi kind of reference for how to draw him. I was just kinda going in blind with that last sketch, but this will help with consistency. I hope anyway. Decided to also try out a new art process, and it worked pretty well. I'm real glad about how this turned out. His design was based on both The Found of Knowledge and also @/ezlo-x's (I don't know if @'s are okay, so just to be safe.) design of Shadow Milk. Specifically the one pictured below who is also my pfp.

The fount because this is technically a "good" Shadow milk, and the fount is him before corruption. The other because I simply like the design and color pallet. It's easy on my eyes, and for all I love about Shadow Milk's design, the bright cyan can hurt my eyes at times. Just doesn't clash well with my current artstyle I guess. Shrug.

Oh would you look who's here

This is just a first pass full-body design of "Blueberry Milk Cookie" aka, Shadow Milk Cookie's swapped counterpart in my Swap AU. (Perhaps Mixing Bowl Fates would be a good name? For it's not a true 1-to-1 Swap AU) He's a scholar, opening up the "Blueberry University." Where all knowledge is free and everyone is encouraged to come and learn. There is no paying for tuition here, for Blueberry Milk despises the idea of keeping information from any cookie. "Knowledge should be shared, for it inspires Curiosity!" There is a change in the light which inhabits each of the Saint's Soul Jams, and the change with BW is that he holds The Light of Curiosity, and his main goal is to inspire all cookies to open their minds, wonder, and specifically "Question everything!" Sometimes, though, that curiosity of his can get him in quite the trouble... His Soul Jam has been stuck to his personal grimoire. A book full of every spell, note, and just general ramblings he's gone on about. He's even applied a spell to make it so the book has infinite pages! It's the main 'filter' he uses when he performs spells. He also has another book he often summons, which is his own personal "Transcribing" book. Usually he asks permission first to transcribe what other's say, for he has fluctuating deafness. An injury he had suffered in childhood during a particularly bad snow storm left him with this disability. I'll get more into detail about him later, when I finish this small drawing. But, uh, yeah. also, P.S. if you question why his eyes are like that, just know the "Milk" part of his name comes for being a descendant of The Milk Tribe.

The Ruins of Passion.

The Swap Au Lives!! and breaths, and lives very rent free in my head. But anyway

I didn't want to just... like.. Simply make Hollyberry into a slothful being- no no. Instead I wanted her to become almost the ultimate party animal, and her grand palace becoming a place of endless "Joy and Friendship." She fell into this decent during the great fall of all the Ancients- (Instead of being "Virtues" they still retain their "Ancient" status, and instead of turning into "Beasts" they've become "Ruins.") -For during the giant war between Golden Cheese and Dark Cacao her poor kingdom was caught up in the cross fire. Losing her people, her friends betraying her... uh, yeah, doesn't do too good on ya. Genuinely, she thinks those who enter her palace are having fun- and like, yeah, for the first half it's nice. And then you drink her Berry Juice, and find yourself overwhelmed with euphoria, and then the world blurs into nothing but an endless party. Forever. "We're all friends here! It's just so easy to become such great friends, Ahaha!" As she herself becomes more and more blind by her grief and fear of it all being torn away from her again.
