The study, sponsored by AppFolio, which surveyed over 1000 rental housing providers. The results were overwhelming…74% of respondent property managers listed Human Resources, staffing and recruitment as their biggest challenge. Maximizing revenues was listed as the second most important issue, but net income is certainly impacted by staff turnover and the costs of not having […]

Last year, the United States Chamber of Commerce published a report that found that 74% of hiring managers are facing a skills gap…job applicants do not have the necessary skills to fill open jobs. How has the pandemic changed your attitude toward work? Derek Thompson wrote for The Atlantic, “…the basic terms of employment are undergoing a Great Reset. The pandemic thrust many families into a homebound lifestyle reminiscent of the 19th-century agrarian economy—but this time with screens galore and online delivery.” Thompson, who writes about economics and technology, […]

Success is a choice!
Thomas Edison, who is known as America’s greatest inventor, said, ‘Many of life’s failures are people who did not know how close they were to success when they gave up.’ How close have you come to achieving something only to lose interest or give it up? There seems to be a recurrent problem in our society of giving up on things that don’t come fast enough or fulfill immediate needs. What if you knew that you were in the final stretch, what if the target that seemed so far away was actually through the next door. When are you going to decide to succeed? According to famous American basketball player Stephen Curry, ‘Success is not an accident, it’s a decision.’ To be in a success mindset is to do something for your dream or goal every day, even if it seems insignificant. To reject this idea is not to live in favor of your desired accomplishment, to place it in the category of wishes. All in life is based on a decision, a small decision will cause ripples that are felt throughout your life into your future. It takes the same energy to make a negative or positive decision about your life, so why not make it a good one. Choose today to succeed, not to give up on your dreams, to believe that the seed you planted is about to blossom. If you planted a seed in your garden, you would not dig it back up to check its progress, this would be detrimental to its growth, you have to believe that the day will come when the hint of green will be seen bursting through the soil. So too, with your ambitions, put in the work and don’t let your fears make you lose in the final hour, don’t dig up your seed just as it’s about to emerge. Why not make the day you choose success today, by taking the evaluation given by mybenziger, you could decide to take meaningful steps in your life to achieve your goals. Learn what makes you tick and what your unique version of success looks like.
