🫧 Love on the Brain with my head in the clouds 🫧 QOTD: how was your first read of the year? I love Levi. Bee on the other hand I was a bit put off by unfortunately. I mean this man is not only telling you but he’s SHOWING you how he really feels and she goes off the deep end convincing herself that she’s just mental. Rocío was also a great side character. Ngl, the twist I saw coming since the intro BUT the reasoning? I would have never guessed. Yes yes yes, it’s the same as The Love Hypothesis essentially, but when you have something so good, why change it? I brought one book, bought another book, and read another book. 😂 I carried Love on the Brain with me so now it's a worldwide traveler. LOL. I bought The Ex Hex based off of a recommendation and ended up reading Midnight Sun as a buddy read. I took this photo in the cutest nook that my AirBnB had in Iceland. I just wanted to sit there and read all day especially since it was 40F (4C) and under. 🫧 #iminlove 🫧 QOTD: what is your favorite shelf on your bookshelf? Or are you a solely spine shower or do you like to show your book covers? I recently rearranged my shelves (again) and this is my favorite shelf. This tops the love I had for my rainbow shelf. Swipe to see the full shelf and how it looks. I ended up making the shelf like this because I keep my 'Special Editions' separate and I quite frankly needed more room on my shelves so I was going to expand it across 2 shelves but it just wasn't working so I stuffed everything back on 1 shelf and I loved the result of it. I could look at this shelf for all time. Being that I also loved Caraval and this is such a gorgeously illustrated scene definitely helps. Bc just look at Scar and Julian. Look at the carousel. The colors. 🫧 #hellogoodbye 🫧 QOTD: what was the last book you read? Our wonderful brooding vampire has been on my mind 😂 and I had fun seeing what he thought even if it was a bit much sometimes but alas. I’ve been so wanting to be in his head, idk why but it was a ride! Also, where better to start this than Italy itself? This man went from she’s nothing but a speck to she’s my oxygen. Get out. 💀 I was able to buddy read this with my bestie @dess.reads and I was able to see her in person! Gallivanting around London with her, Eiman and my sister was so much fun. 'Til we meet again. 🪷 #bookishthoughts 🪷 Read: May 9 - May 25, 2022 | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ QOTD: what’s the last book you were looking forward to and what did you think of it? “To be star bright and mortal dark and make her own choices, too. To not be bound by other people’s expectations. More than anything, to be seen.” I was so excited about this book. Also, my favorite flower is the lotus flower and the fact that it played a part in the story, 🥰. This was so torturous to read. I was so confused which made me want to give up. Then I became bored bc why would I have to try so hard for things to make sense. I wanted to love this, the cover, STUNNING. Plot, captivating. 🪷 #annotatedbooks 🪷 QOTD: do you annotate your books? I don’t like writing in mine solely bc I don’t like my handwriting. I feel like it makes it sloppy and I don’t like my books sloppy. So I put sticky notes and tab a lot. I do have a template I use but I also try to color coordinate with the book so the colors are constantly changing. Oh how I love this cover. The trilogy just has stunning covers.
