Hey mycopals!
New Year, new projects! That means more, interesting and diverse MCX supplies around the corner! This year I plan to revamp my Patreon subscriptions, and for those who donāt know, my Instagram was banned for ādrug useā which is ridiculous but whatever. I am now posting on Reddit and being more engaged on discord and Patreon in lieu of Instagram.
Our MCX mycocommunity discord has bloomed to about 39 mycopals! If you are queer, non confirming, otherwise an āallyā who happens to be a mycopal, please join us! Message me here or discord for invite link!

Summary and project codes:
E10 - KSAT x Nutcracker - Yoshi (retry) (context: have tried to use the swab before and did not get germination using again at this time using two variations of swap patterns, as well as petal inoculation techniques
F3 - APE - ITW (LC droplet inoc.) (context: I have a very potent and unique specimen isolate for APE already (my a2-2 chonk). That specimen originated from PGT. As such that specimen was first researched by me three years ago. So I thought it was fitting to try out ITWās isolation of the strain. Who knows what phenotypes I may find :-)
F4 - KSSS - ITW (mss droplet inoc) (context: I donāt know much about this strain. A cursory search on ITW yields:
āKoh Samui Super Strain is another unique cubensis discovered by John Allen on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. This is the second largest island in Thailand, and is famed for its large dense rainforests, which are ideal environments for naturally grown magic mushrooms. Ryche Hawk from Hawseye graciously funded the trip where John discovered this strain, and we owe homage to his generous donation towards furthering the cubensis gene pool.
Koh Samui drops dense purple spores and features the classic golden cap look that we all know and love.ā
F5 - FCPE - ITW (LC droplet inoc) (context: I donāt know much about this strain. A cursory search on ITW yields:
āFranks Cock Penis Envy isolate comes from the very first tub of pe genetics from sporeworks that PMG ever had the pleasure to work with. He ran it completely multi-spore, injecting directly to grain (something he hadnāt done in years). PMG was looking for a good clone like we do, and one of the very first fruits came up fast and had a great look to it. He figured it was the first of plenty so went ahead and dried it! However, after all the flushes were finished, PMG realized it was that first fruit that spoke to him the most, but it has now been dried for a month. Not letting this hold him back, PMG took a plate that had a little condensation on it and left some tissue from the dried fruit on it to grab moisture and start shoring hyphae. To his surprise, he was able to save it! Thus came the name Frankensteins cock, as this PE was brought back to life! Itās a great fruiter and unlike most Penis envy, FCPE has tons of spores! Frankenstein Cock Penis Envy is a fantastic isolation for anyone looking to expand their PE library.ā
F6 - Yeti - ITW (swab and petal inoc) (context: I donāt know much about this strain. A cursory search on ITW yields:
āThe Yeti strain was first discovered by mycologist Jik Fibs, and has quickly gained massive popularity in the genetics community. Yeti is one of many isolations of true albino teacher, a family which includes fan favorites such as Ghost Spore Swabs, Wombat TAT Spore Swabs, and Jack Frost Isolated Syringes.ā
E7 - Omni-blob -mutantā-pheno - my efforts at salvaging specimen samples from the mutant tubs from the last few months
E9 - Omni-blob - brainā-pheno - grocery search on Yoshiās diner store site for Omni only yielded Omni blob and so I believe that the wedges I received, I may have misread. Either way both of these cultivars in mine are Omni blogs, but I believe that they are two separate phenotype isolate. As I work with these plates and then go out again, I will be able to know.
Update on end of life observation project:
I also sundown my research project on senescence of our mushroom producing fungal organisms. I realized, bringing in the new year: that I have been observing and documentong these specific inoculated organisms as they fruit and wither and reclaim themselves then repeat a few times, until no fruit body or vegetative, mycelium growth was noted in addition to the mycelial surface turning blue and peppermint, smell emitting at cessation of observable growth- consistent across all specimen cultivars. I took fancy high-quality photos of them before I disposed of them and plan to upload them here soon!
Mush love in this new, wild year mycopals!
