Where is Mydhilde?
So, progress on Mydhilde has been silent for a while. Things have been a little bumpy the past few months, while Nick and William have been planning their next moves. Progress is still happening, and more features are being developed.
The funny thing is, our Kickstarter campaign was originally scheduled to happen throughout October. However, we couldn’t afford to crunch the work so quickly in time, and William had to use a portion of October to move to Texas. That sets us back quite a bit because now it’s the Christmas season, and Kickstarter is going to be a no-go for a while. However, it provides us time to relax and focus a little on the rest of our lives.
Now we’re shooting for a campaign as early as First or Second Quarter of 2017. This isn’t a promise, as Nick plans to go full-time at his day job to raise personal funds in order to afford the nicer things in life. But that gives a lot of time to polish up the Alpha build in time for a Kickstarter Demo. We prefer not to rush this build, because this one should heavily define what the final product will feel like.
As for public updates, you won’t be hearing much about Mydhilde for a while. We’d like to re-assess our marketing plans and come back in full power, with a new and exciting way to present Mydhilde and its features. We also want to make sure that any further content that’s (re-)announced is finished and already in-game. However, Nick will make a small post detailing some cool content he’s programmed since the last time.
