Alright, so when I was going around the Vindicaar today and saw Silgryn along with Liadrin.
I clicked on Silgryn and I could choose an option where he would talk.
He begun to ask Liadrin how they have succeeded to stay sane after the Sunwell with Liadrin explaining the getting into the Horde helped a lot and it finished on Silgryn saying that it’ll make him think.
This is a really light summary as I’ve got it a few hours ago and couldn’t get it back, no matter how much I was annoying him (I only learned the Oculeth would most likely destroy the Vindicaar, that he like training with Victoire and Arluelle will most likely become One Punch man)
It is not surprising news that fanfiction writers are highly underappreciated.
There’s something wrong with the numbers: let’s take a popular fic with almost 4k hits. For let’s say 700 readers, it will get about 50 comments and 300 Kudos (those numbers are just an example, sometimes it’s worse than that). Maybe I’m being too kind, maybe not, but things stay the same; there’s something wrong here. Can you see it?
It takes us days, weeks, sometimes months to write a story for you. We write for ourselves yes, but we also write to share. We write to offer you content about your favourite characters. We write to bring our and your ships to life. It takes you a fraction of second to leave a Kudos, ten seconds to one, two or a few minutes to leave a comment.
And here lies our problem: there’s no proper sharing if there’s no proper feedback. An author not getting comments is generally a sad author. If I didn’t get feedback I’d wonder what’s the point in keeping on writing. A comment makes a writer’s day, most of the time even motivates them to write more.
Another important thing thrandythefabulous and I noticed: why on Earth do so many readers don’t comment (even kudos) if the fic has been up for a little more than a week or two? Why? Your feedback is still welcomed and much appreciated.
We write for ourselves, but also we write for you. And sadly, many readers are being quite… ungrateful, when giving feedback is the least they can do to thank the people offering them stories for free.
So, before we get started on our little day, let’s talk about comments:
It doesn’t matter if other readers already said what you wanted to say, we’ll still love reading it again in your words.
It doesn’t matter the fic has been up for weeks or months or years; comments on those ones are unexpected and so, it makes them ever better.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have much to say, we’ll be glad anyway.
Most authors leave the comment section open to people who don’t have an Archive of Our Own (AO3) account, which means you can still… comment! How amazing is that.
That brings us to our little Fanfiction Writers Appreciation Day.
The point of this day is simple; on August 21st, writers and readers alike would go on AO3 (or any fanfiction website really), on Tumblr, and leave a comment on their favourite fics (even the fics they enjoyed!) and/or send their authors a message about their works.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve already or never commented. It doesn’t matter if the author doesn’t know about this post. It doesn’t matter if the author already knows how much you love their work.
Just let writers know you love the fics they write for you, simple as that!
And well, don’t forget to keep leaving a Kudos and a comment in the future, and make writers happy!
I cannot describe the delight that it brings me when someone leaves a kudos or a comment. It absolutely makes my week, and gives me so much encouragement to keep on writing.
Is it possible for Marinette to have naturally blue eyes since Tom has green ones? Don’t both your parents have to have blue eyes in order for you to get them? DOES SHE WEAR CONTACTS?!!?! WILL WE GET TO SEE HER IN GLASSES LATER?!?!!
If I remember, with the genetics, you obtain half of the genes of your parents. And for eyes, it is enough that your parents possess both the gene (even if they possess eyes of the other colors, as long as the gene Blue Eye is present you can obtain it.) If you have green and blue genes, you will have the eyes blue gene and I suppose that the grey is a by-product of the blue-green thus Tom and Sabine can possess both the gene necessary for Marinette to have eyes blue naturally.
OKAY SO, after binge-watching all of the main Metal Gear games (and reading a butt-ton of spoilers) my brain made a connection w/ gravity falls and I can not be stopped. I’m calling this AU, Metal Gear Falls.

Hey, remember when I post this? (It’s say that Bill is the fusion of the people of the wheel)
And, for the fun, I decided to search if something could approve this and, yes, I found that.
The official Bill has 10 “bricks” + 1 triangle above them. On his wheel, they are 10 symbols for (we presume but see this post for an other idea) 10 peoples.
So, each bricks is a character from the wheel and the triangle is the sum of those character, Bill roughly.
Well... For several days, I was thinking about the symbols on the Bill’s wheel, especially when we realize that two symbols corresponded to the author.
And, my conclusion is: There are only five people on the wheel and each have two symbols.
So, here what I think for combinations:
First, the Hand and the Glasses are for the Author aka Stan’s brother.
The Hand symbolize the fact that he’s the author (Yes, i’m know i’m obvious) and all these thing about the mystery and paranormal.
Glasses are for the link which he has with Stan.
Next, the Pine Tree and the Ice Bag are for Dipper.
The Pine Tree is, first of all, a reminder of his last name and the symbole on his cap and, let us not forget that is the nickname which Bill give him.
The Ice Bag is for the fact that Dipper want to be cool, hang out with the teenager and, in "The Inconveniencing" and "The Time Traveler's Pig", it’s him who go search the ice bag (and let it drop but i don’t know if that is significant)
Then, The Shooting Star and the Llama are Mabel.
Shooting Star for his sweater that we seen several times and it’s the nickname which Bill give her.
The Llama is also appeared on Mabel’s sweater and in "Headhunters", Llama was compared to “Great warrior” (I don’t remember the exact sentence) and, I think that Mabel already show that she’s a great warrior (I have “Blendin’s game” in mind). And, in the usual theory, we think that Pacifica is the Llama, so maybe this symbol is also to show a link between Mabel and Pacifica.
Now, the Question Mark and the Fez Symbole are Soos.
We saw the Question Mark on his T-Shirt and in “Boss Mabel”, it was his costume. Plus, it also the nickname which Bill give him.
The Fez Symbol are for me a link between him and Stan. We know that Soos see Stan like a father and want to be adopt by him. And, maybe Soos is the futur owner of the Mystery Shack and this is why he have this symbol.
And, at least, the Star and the Heart is for Gideon or Robbie. (I can’t really decide, you’ll see why)
The Star was seen on almost all which concerns Gideon (The tent, his suit, Gideon land,...) but, I think that the Star symbolize also the psychic/telepathic power and I remember you that in “Boyz crazy”, Robbie hypnotized Wendy, so, power on the mind.
And, the Heart could represent Gideon’s “love” for Mabel and the fact, that some actions were “made” for her. But, this symbol is on Robbie’s hoodie and it was shown that Robbie was bound to love: His last name (Valentino -> Valentin-> St-Valentin-> Love), the episode “The Love God” is about him and don’t forget the fact he was dating Wendy, then Tambry. It’s always about Love.
