The drive home is unbearable.

Not because it’s long—they’re barely twenty minutes from the bar—but because Buck is squirming in the passenger seat like his skin doesn’t fit. Eddie has one hand on the wheel and the other clenched tight in his lap, jaw set. The air in the truck is thick—windows cracked, but it doesn’t help. Buck’s scent is cloying. Sweet and sharp and soaked with want. With need. Every breath Eddie takes is full of it, down to his bones.

Buck is spread in the seat, legs parted, hoodie long since pushed off, shirt rumpled from Eddie’s hands. His thighs are damp—visibly, now—and he’s been rolling his hips in tiny circles ever since the engine started. Trying to get any friction. Trying not to whine.
