I'd say I'm doing well, but I was thinking about how Shane's worst day was getting caught by his dad and coming out to his parents. And how Ilya's worst day was finding his dead mother.

Let me add salt to the wound, Ilya's best day was Shane's worst day. He was caught too, he was forced to come out too. But the way he looked at Yuna and David while they quietly discussed the dynamics of their relationship:

He looked like he was absorbing the warmth of being accepted, he might have thought about his own home, a place he would be received with cold stares and disgust, at best.

He felt all that and still, he felt like this was his best day? How bad were the other days?
