I have 203 drafts here. Words unspoken.
Today I heard, "In your 30s you know who you are, in your 40s you aren't afraid to be it." It feels true.
Maybe at 40 my drafts will be 0.

Life is a wild, beautiful thing.
i think one of the most important qualities you need in a partner is a partner who is considerate. someone who can look at things from your point of view, who considers how you're feeling when things are rough, someone who creates a space for you to feel safe & vice versa.

Life has been interesting...
2023 into 2024:
Quit my job running the local youth theatre and finished my full-time status with them in December, then started freelancing again! Working with a local high school to update their lighting and sound designing for a new play that opens in May.
In January, I taught my first class at the local university, had a flipping awesome time, and hope to keep doing that for the foreseeable future!
I have an interview a week from today for a new full-time position at the university, so fingers crossed for that to go well.
After the mess of medical appointments for the past 3 months, it turns out I have MS. Which can be a heavy diagnosis, but my prognosis is good because they found it early. Now I can start medication, which should keep it from flaring up and keep me symptom free! At least now I can move forward.
I'm still traveling around when I can. Was able to hit up Detroit and Denver a few weeks ago, and now I'm at my final round of appointments for the time being in Rochester, MN. Gonna take a break from the travel for a month (at least) and take in some home time. Other fun things:
- made maple syrup for the first time ever!
- started learning to crochet.
- been playing with legos, coloring, listening to audio books and watching a whole lot of tv in my spare time, which makes me happy 😊
- we've been making food at home a whole lot and have grown a great appreciation for dishes with rice, I crave rice now 😂
I hope the world can slow down a bit now and that I can find some more balance, but things are going pretty well, so I'm content. ❤️
Travel heals my soul.
