Hi, I want to introduce myself. My name is Lesly Anel Tirado. I'm 25 years old about to be 26 on July 28th. I'm working towards my master's degree in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. My master's program is a little different from all the other MSW. You might ask why? My master's program is Bilingual Spanish and English and addresses the unmet integrated mental health needs of Latinx, immigrant, and refugee populations. I choose this master's program since I grew up in a border town, the Imperial Valley, and Mexicali. Here in the Valley, more than 85% of the population are Latinxs. For me, it is so important to be able to help my community and bring awareness. Thank You All for being here and showing me love.💕 Hola, quiero presentarme. Me llamo Lesly Anel Tirado. Tengo 25 años a punto de cumplir 26 el 28 de julio. Estoy trabajando para obtener mi maestría en Trabajo Social en la Universidad Loyola de Chicago. El programa de mi maestría es un poco diferente de todos los otros RSU. ¿Podrías preguntar por qué? El programa de mi maestría es español e inglés bilingüe y aborda las necesidades de salud mental integradas no satisfechas de las poblaciones latinas, inmigrantes y refugiadas. Elijo este programa de maestría ya que crecí en una ciudad fronteriza, el Valle Imperial y Mexicali. Aquí en el Valle, más del 85% de la población son latinxs.
