Hello! I love your work! Could I put a request in for a yandere/stalker Donatello? Or maybe overly protective donatello headcanons? So many people write sweet stuff for bayverse donnie but i never see any darker vibe stuff! Thank you!
Thank you! ❤️ I hope you enjoy this one too.
To be honest, Donnie reminds me of Aiden Pearce from the 'Watch Dogs' game. I think they're very similar by their expertise in technology and hacking, and also their personalities.
Rate/Warnings: yandere/stalker and overprotective character. There is a bit of fluff.
“New York is my eyes and ears.”, he once told you. Indeed it was. His brilliant mind has created a technological network that covers almost all of New York, allowing him to notice everything. "Nothing escapes from my gaze".
Donnie has his ways. He notices absolutely everything you could imagine... He may be a quiet nerd, but those close to him know there is nothing fragile about him at all.
Honestly, it’s easy to think of a quiet person as harmless, naïve, or anything closely tied to innocence. But don’t fool yourself. Silence has a way of misleading others into underestimation, as if the absence of words implied the absence of thought. Quiet people listen more than they speak, observe more than they act, and store impressions with unsettling precision. While others fill the air with noise, they pay attention - to gestures, to pauses, to what is left unsaid. In their stillness, they gather fragments of truth, often understanding far more than they ever choose to reveal.
Never underestimate the quietest person.
You received a watch designed by him for Christmas, similar to the one April received for her birthday. "If anything happens, just press the button on the side...". He advised, glancing at you as put the watch on your wrist.
If you were in a relationship with him, you’d notice how overprotective he'd be of you. A little too much, actually.
You'd receive concern comments from a few people that something was different in the way Donnie behaved, but you had known him for years before you ever started dating, and you knew him well enough to understand.
Just let’s be clear: If you allow him to be overprotective without becoming toxic, your relationship shall be balanced and healthy, and he never acted differently. Donnie never makes you feel uncomfortable in a relationship meant to be healthy and safe. He understands boundaries, respects your space, and values communication above all else. But there’s one thing he makes unmistakably clear: you belong to him.
At family gatherings or any place crowded with people, Donnie stays by your side the entire time, one hand placed around your waist or shoulder. (Your waist is his favourite). And when he isn’t with you, he watches from a distance.
If he notices a man invading your space, he would: "Is there a problem here?", he asks while wedges himself between the two of you, making the man retreat immediately;
There’s a part off him that you love the most: the way he reminds you that you are his through the certainty in his touch, the steadiness in his gaze.
When you leave work late at night, you share your location with him so he can follow your route home. Of course, he watches over you through the network of cameras scattered across New York’s streets; and you’re fully aware of it because you allowed it for your safety. It feels like reassurance, a silent promise that you are never truly alone in the dark.
Tonight you've decided to take a different route, but your phone goes off immediately. “Why are you going down this path?”, his voice echoes.
You sighed. “It’s quicker if I walk this way-”;
“There aren’t any cameras there.”, he cut you off. “Go back to the street where you were so I can see you, please".
You breathed out as you put your phone back in the pocket. You know it’s for your own protection. With vigilantes or not, New York still has crimes.
Sometimes, he’d come over to your apartment. He asks about your day - how it went, if anyone bothered you, etc... Donnie listens closely, storing every detail with quiet attention. When you tell him that your coworker had been bothered you for a few days, he was about to turn into a "beast", but you calmed him down.
You'll never forget that one night, you were on your way home and forgot to send him your location. A giant truck emerged from the shadows a few streets behind. You heart raced. Then you could see its green and yellow colors.
"OH MY GOD, DONNIE!", you shouted as the truck approached. "What the hell?!". Your voice echoed through the empty street.
The drivers side window rolled down and he appeared. "Sorry, Y/N. You didn't send your current location-."
"I thought I was gonna be kidnapped- What? Did I?... Wait. How did you know location if it was desabled?". You lifted an eyebrow.
"Because you walk along this street every night. And I was the one who asked you to do that". He simply smiled.
In those moments, you feel chosen and claimed because you are being watched all the time, and being cared.
