like i'm soooo tired of this conversation around centering jewish feelings when jewish people are not the group currently going through a genocide - "antisemitism is on the rise" is only something you could possibly say or believe if you ignored the very actual rampant rise in islamophobia and not once have i heard someone say the phrase "centering palestinian feelings" because even through empathizing with their victimhood it's seen as an abstract suffering that's affecting how jewish people are being treated.. ridiculous - it is not the people in palestine's fault that the people who are slaughtering them are jewish and claim to be doing so because they are jewish - that's the actual antisemitism you should be taking up arms against not the tightrope you force everyone else in the world to walk when speaking about gaza

the worst part ab capitalism is it’s built to make you feel like the more your labour is exploited the more productive and better member of society you are. My friend did unpaid labour for weeks at a place she wasn’t hired yet as “volunteer work” and didn’t get her hours in cuz of it. Couldn’t put it on resumes either. She still bragged ab it until I actually explained to her that she gets no benefit off of it.

Reminder that it's OK to dislike someone for petty, low-stakes reasons and avoid being around them even if there's nothing genuinely wrong with their character. And in fact the kindest thing to do in this situation is just to own that you find their vibe irritating and NOT spin up a narrative where you HAD to distance yourself from them because they were Toxic.
