STAR WARS: EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH (2005) THE MANDALORIAN - CHAPTER 16: THE RESCUE (2020)
one of the worst adhd things ever is wanting to trick yourself into doing tasks so you make up fake deadlines to give yourself a sense of pressure but then your adhd goes ‘is that a Real deadline with immediate consequences or a fake one to make our life more organized? :/‘ and then you go ‘it’s a fake one to make our life more organized 😔’ and then the task doesn’t get done
becca’s mega coloring tutorial
i’ve gotten a lot of requests recently asking me to make a tutorial for my ‘colorporn’ gifsets, and i think i’ve finally gotten over the traumatic incident 3 years ago, when i spent all day writing out a coloring tutorial only to accidentally hit backspace causing the entire thing to be wiped. so, here it is, buckle up folks! it’s going to be a long ride but here’s hoping it’ll be helpful.
so we’ll be going from left side (no coloring) to right (coloring & color porn):

I love fonts and typography, so i wanted to make a series, where I post and provide you with links to my personal favourite fonts. Please note that not all of them are free, I tried to find free download links for you, but I can’t always provide them!
Here is part three with my favourite script fonts!

Actually
The question I get the most is how I write characters that feel like real people.
Generally when I’m designing a human being, I deconstruct them into 7 major categories:
1. Primary Drive 2. Fear: Major and Secondary 3. Physical Desires 4. Style of self expression 5. How they express affection 6. What controls them (what they are weak for) 7. What part of them will change.
1. Primary Drive: This is generally related to the plot. What are their plot related goals? How are they pulling the plot forward? how do they make decisions? What do they think they’re doing and how do they justify doing it. 2. Fear: First, what is their deep fear? Abandonment? being consumed by power? etc. Second: tiny fears. Spiders. someone licking their neck. Small things that bother them. At least 4. 3. Physical desires. How they feel about touch. What is their perceived sexual/romantic orientation. Do their physical desires match up with their psychological desires.
4. Style of self expression: How they talk. Are they shy? Do they like to joke around and if so, how? Are they anxious or confident internally and how do they express that externally. What do words mean to them? More or less than actions? Does their socioeconomic background affect the way they present themselves socially? 5. How they express affection: Do they express affection through actions or words. Is expressing affection easy for them or not. How quickly do they open up to someone they like. Does their affection match up with their physical desires. how does the way they show their friends that they love them differ from how they show a potential love interest that they love them. is affection something they struggle with?
6. What controls them (what they are weak for): what are they almost entirely helpless against. What is something that influences them regardless of their own moral code. What– if driven to the end of the wire— would they reject sacrificing. What/who would they cut off their own finger for. What would they kill for, if pushed. What makes them want to curl up and never go outside again from pain. What makes them sink to their knees from weakness or relief. What would make them weep tears of joy regardless where they were and who they were in front of.
7. WHAT PART OF THEM WILL CHANGE: people develop over time. At least two of the above six categories will be altered by the storyline–either to an extreme or whittled down to nothing. When a person experiences trauma, their primary fear may change, or how they express affection may change, etc. By the time your book is over, they should have developed. And its important to decide which parts of them will be the ones that slowly get altered so you can work on monitoring it as you write. making it congruent with the plot instead of just a reaction to the plot.
That’s it.
But most of all, you have to treat this like you’re developing a human being. Not a “character” a living breathing person. When you talk, you use their voice. If you want them to say something and it doesn’t seem like (based on the seven characteristics above) that they would say it, what would they say instead?
If they must do something that’s forced by the plot, that they wouldn’t do based on their seven options, they can still do the thing, but how would they feel internally about doing it?
How do their seven characteristics meet/ meld with someone else’s seven and how will they change each other?
Once you can come up with all the answers to all of these questions, you begin to know your character like you’d know one of your friends. When you can place them in any AU and know how they would react.
They start to breathe.
This is actually like the best character creation system I have read so far. Op lays it out as simple as possible so even people like me who don’t really care for character creation can easily figure out what they need to do to make a complex, interesting character. I will definitely be using this!
Good stuff.
Guys, I edit professionally. This list is legit. Incorporating these suggestions before you hire an editor will save you A LOT of money. Even if you did these and nothing else, you’d see significant overall improvement in your work.
That said, you don’t have to overthink these things when you’re writing a first draft. If you write, “she said angrily” in a first draft, you can always revisit the phrasing in a second draft. I mention this because overthinking style can lead to a loss of momentum, and losing momentum is why so many people never finish a draft. Give yourself permission to write fast, write messy or ugly, and edit your draft into beauty later.
Best parts of Star Wars are when an alien or a robot or something makes a couple random noises and a person is very genuinely like “yes that’s it exactly thank you”
seems that Chrome has around 60-65% market share, so it’s not totally dominating the market yet but it’s worrying that we’re basically reliant on Apple and Microsoft to hold the line.
Does Firefox not count for anything?
about 10% and falling, but perhaps that can change, I just don’t see how.
Chrome edging towards 70% on desktop, Microsoft has thrown in the towel, Safari obviously rules iOS, Firefox exists only as insurance for Chrome.
Please, please I’m begging you, use firefox.
PLEASE install firefox as a mobile browser and then run adblock on your mobile browser it’s so good I promise.
Look.
Look.
I know I’m a total grind about open source stuff but browsers are the PERFECT place to learn to love open source software and for so long FireFox was a major part of the browser market and sometimes if you want to see what kind of fuckery google is up to it helps to see the kinds of things they block in firefox and just
There’s an organization that makes free, excellent, safe software that doesn’t collect and market your data but for some reason two thirds of the world uses a google product and most of the leftover population uses apple and just
I promise, firefox is so good - the extensions are incredible look - I can use lightbeam to see what sites I use and how they connect to other sites (bottom right should give you an idea how much time I spend on tumblr)
or I can look at ublock origin and see that it’s blocked over 2 million requests since I installed it or I can run the facebook container extension and stop facebook from tracking me and you know what I bet you can do a lot of that on chrome too but you’re doing that while chrome itself is tracking you and gobbling up your activity for google and
firefox is so fuckin great and it’s such a great ambassador for other open source projects please be a big old fuckin nerd with me and use firefox and run a bunch of funky extensions and customize the fuck out of your web experience.
Wanna be a hacker? Firefox.
Wanna use instagram on desktop? Firefox.
Wanna be a killer researcher? Firefox.
Wanna properly credit artists? Firefox.
Wanna read a whole shitload of books? Firefox.
Wanna make video responses to shitlord youtubers?
Wanna shoot cat lasers at bugs?
Wanna use youtube as a music streaming service?
FIREFOX.
I just love firefox okay.
firefox is brilliant and i would recommend the add-on Ghostery for desktop which not only blocks ads but also blocks trackers from collecting your data (your online habits and preferences to market to you better)! fuck chrome! fuck google! get your privacy back! install firefox!!

Handmade Heaven by arianagrandre (preview / code)
I’m back with a new theme! Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me, and a big hug to the lovely people who have used or are currently using my previous theme - it means the world to me. I hope you enjoy this one too! Please like/reblog if you use it. ♡
theme features:
540px posts
fixed sidebar
optional title & archive link
un-nested captions
custom reblog & like buttons
270px wide sidebar image
up to 4 custom links
notes:
base code by @sorrism (full terms and credits here)
toggle the title button twice if it doesn’t show
best viewed in chrome
do not remove the credits or claim as yours
theme two: cherry blossom — a very simple theme
preview / code
features: optional 275px wide sidebar image, up to three custom links, optional search bar, option to show tags on hover, ten font choices, three font sizes, five different post sizes, all colours customizable
notes:
tumblr’s customize page is very buggy and you usually have to toggle the options on and off to get them to work.
sometimes the unnested captions won’t display properly on the customize page. once you save and exit, the captions will look fine on your blog.
