The 4 things which harm the body:
1. Anxiety (about the future)
2. Sorrow (for what happened in the past)
3. Staying hungry
4. Staying up late
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله, Zaad al-Ma`aad | 4/367
Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما said:

Knowledge is in 3 things
The Qur’ān
The Sunnah
And to say “I do not know”

I thought I was burning up, but now I see that I’m actually the flame.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
By Allah, I am not afraid of your poverty but I am afraid that you will lead a life of luxury as past nations did, whereupon you will compete with each other for it, as they competed for it, and it will destroy you as it destroyed them.
Sahih Al-Bukhari 3158

• Results of abandoning sins
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
Gaining beauty
Glory in the hearts of people
Support and protection from others if he was hurt
Protection of his honour if he was slandered
Answering his supplication and being close to Allāh
Close to the Angels and being far from the Satans among the humans and the jinn
People will compete to serve him and fulfill his needs and gain his love and company
He will not fear death but he will be happy to meet Allāh and recieve his reward
The world wil be low in his eyes while the Hereafter will be great
He will seek the greatest property, supreme achievement in the Hereafter
Tasting the sweetness of obedience
Sweetness of faith
Supplications of the angels that carry the Throne and the other angels around him
Happiness of the two angels that are recording his deeds, and their supplications
An increase in knowledge, understanding and faith
Loving Allāh
Longing to meet Him and happiness at his repentance
Allāh will reward him with happiness and joy that are not even close to the happiness experienced when commiting sins
[al-Fawā'id | Pg. 255]
To live a simple life, in the obedience of Allāh, in accordance to the Qur’ān and Sunnah.
