Dountanuki was resting pool side on a lounge chair and had fallen soundly asleep while staying dry and sun bathing when suddenly a spoolsh of water fell and hit him.
He jolted awake from the cold confusions and looked around. “Huh wait what what.” And then looked at his water soaked lounge chair and grumbled to himself. “Aww man… my lemonade got full of pool water.” And then glanced right in the direction of where the water had sounded like it came from with angry looking eyes.
From the sound of a deep, low voice, he instantly knew it was a mistake for jumping into it without any further notice given.
Across from him sat an alert man that seemed partially wet, although not too much to be drenched terribly. Maybe he woke him up from the splash? His hair flowing inside the water with his ponytail untied, an awkward smile greeted the other before hesitantly apologizing to the person.
「 “-Ah! Sorry, did I get you wet?”」
「 “A party like this isn’t a party if no one...”」
「 “Does a canon ball in the pool!!”」

Past relations of having to partake in kendo classes together had brought them fairly close, though once high school came around the corner, different paths were taken and each were given a variety of routes to walk on. That being said, it was for that reason that they were somewhat distant compared to before, but that wasn’t a reason for him to not greet someone he came to take fond of. The sun still out, brightly shining down at its citizens, as he was released from training he came across the other walking in front of him. Seeing how he hadn’t taken notice of him just yet, he sought an opportunity for a sneak attack.
Heels hushing down as they swiftly went closer to the teen, his bag was slung back securely and arms finally spread open as he jumped on top of the male, his name gradually called out from behind.
「 “Ho...ri...ka...wa!”」

Particularly they weren’t too close, however he still hadn’t hesitated in calling him an acquaintance. Although he wasn’t aware of the hardship that the older had went through, apart from detailed backgrounds his presence was always soothing in one way or the other. Today he hadn’t expected to see him sitting alone in the park though, people passing by while he seemed to keep collected to himself. Would it have been rude to invade that space of his? Probably, which was why before any approaches were made, he first went to a nearby vending machine to plop out a drink until finally walking over to the man. Arm extending to hand him the refreshment, a quick smile was given at the other.
「 “Today is a nice weather, isn’t it? Here, I bought you a drink to cool yourself down from the heat.”」
「 “A party, huh... Wonder if they’ll have horse riding like they do in some parties.”」

The two had seemed to bonded through some period of time, and in many respects he saw the older as someone admirable. A smile and enthusiastic nature that was hard to not be inflicted by it, perhaps that was where he was influenced to be quite cheery himself. On a particular day he was invited over to meet at the central part of the city in Kairos, and promptly meeting on the scheduled time, he sat on a nearby bench until noticing the man from afar. Standing, he made a quick wave to catch his attention as he approached him with a plastic bag occupying in his other hand.
「 “Mikazuki, I’m here! And I brought the things you asked me to bring.”」
Faize, out of curiosity, had decided to go to a farm; there’s plenty of animals there, and he isn’t opposed to their company. Rabbits are what he’s most fond of, but those can be found most anywhere—this time he wants to pass the time sating his thirst for knowledge instead. He isn’t expecting the voice that calls out to him and he remains in a dumbfounded silence for a moment—is it okay for him to help? It’s not as though he officially works here or anything! Faize curiously cants his head, “I—“ and he cuts himself short as the other throws a suggestion his way (again, technically). This time he is intrigued; though the back of his mind has not forgotten the inquiry of assistance, the offer held out makes him nod before he really thinks anything else over. His feet rush forward a few paces to close the gap between him and the other boy.
“What other animals do you have here?” he asks, eyes bright and alert with his interest.
The prevalence of his age group would have preferred games and sports over labor and chores, but with reasons varying, he separated himself from such luxuries and chose the simpler pleasures life had to offer. Call him old fashioned, he couldn’t careless so long as he was able to do what he didn’t mind doing. Besides, it was helping the community one way or the other. A few steps ahead until looking across the other, an eager look was given to him as he detected the soft, yet vibrant response exchanged by the male. Truly, it was an oddity for him to witness someone other than himself in visiting the vast land. Well, it wasn’t as if he was going to send him off in a hostile manner. More hands were appreciated, after all!
「“We have a lot of animals sheltered here, but most of them are horses, chickens and sheep. Are you interested in any of them?”」
“Ah.”
Chrome would have thought herself lucky to come across her favourite box of chocolates that happens to be the last one in stock. She stared at the young male, a smile stretched upon her lips. She placed her delicate hands over his, gently pushing it over to him.
“That’s fine. You can have it. I insist.” She nodded over to him before retracting her hands from the box. “I needed to lay off on the sweets, really. I don’t mind if I could pay it for you too.”
A short gap of silence was thoroughly added prior to his answer, thoughtfully considering of what to do. He hadn’t expected someone else to pay for him, nonetheless someone that he knew little of. Eyes briefly parted away from the box to gaze at the girl, until shaking his head with a content smile on his face.
「“How about we share it then? Please, I insist on paying so you won’t need to worry about it.”」
She was confused. If he didn’t come here with enough money this time and did not want to discuss it, what difference would it make the next time the boy came? It would probably be even better to have an expert there to help if anything went wrong.
﹝ I do not visit this place in particular very often, but I do visit many shops like this in this area. ﹞
Compared to other tea shops, this one certainly wasn’t the one she visited the most. There was a place in particular that sold her favorite tea for an understandable price. Not like she couldn’t afford the more expensive brands, she just knew how to spend money wisely. Unlike the person next to her, she relied on seeing prices for herself rather than the word of someone else. Even though he was a bit stingy, she thought, he seemed intent on keeping his money in his pockets. Maybe it was time to come clean about how this place wasn’t the cheapest in Kairos, considering that she wasn’t having fun messing with him anymore.
﹝ So, actually, this place isn’t really the cheapest. I was joking. …Slightly. ﹞
On his part, he admitted that perhaps the store was a tad bit too sophisticated for his tastes in the first place. How he came to terms in entering one, he could have blamed it on his curiosity. And yet, through this incident he at least learned something valuable from a stranger (he hoped to consider it as that at least)!
「“You must really enjoy tea a lot then. Do you have a favorite store?”」
His head cocked to the side, revealed of the supposed humor that was given to them. If it was meant to be offending, then little affected him in regards to it. But although a ‘joke’ like that wasn’t his cup of tea, he paid an attentive look at her, lips not drawing a frown just yet.
「“I see, well, even if you were joking it’s true that I still can’t afford it. I was thinking of buying the ones sold at convenient stores, since they all seem to be similar to me now that I think of it...”」
He had mentioned prior that he may as well visit here on a special occasion, alas his alternate option was also not to be overlooked since that was what he usually did. How peculiar he decided to venture elsewhere today though.
“Well, writing was always something that I loved, especially poems. So I guess it all came naturally to me. I guess it couldn’t hurt to ask about it. If I don’t get the job, well I can always try somewhere else.”
「“That sounds amazing~ Wil you let me read one of them if I’m given the chance some day? I would like to see for myself! But anyway, what did you think about the school? Do you like it so far?”」
To cry over spilt milk won’t reverse one’s fortune, as he sees it – but then nor will tending towards the other end of the spectrum and instead smiling about the wasted milk. What’s done is done, quite simply, and however one might receive such a truth it’ll remain unchanged.
Still, it isn’t as though the other’s optimism, even as much as it might be for a simple accident like this, is some horrid thing: far from it, in fact. Somewhere between impressed, amused, and in disbelief, Frederic folds his arms lightly across his chest as he stands back upright. He can now afford to give his companion the attention polite conversation deserves, now that his scrutiny of the display is over and done with. “A rather profound way of regarding the mundane. Has something been weighing on your mind recently, to say something like that?”
Just teasing, of course. He has to mull over the young stranger’s invitation for only a moment. Although - again - he is personally in no rush, and as such wouldn’t take issue with either waiting for a new batch or changing his order entirely, his company is honestly rather pleasant.
Stepping out of the way to allow those behind him move ahead in the line, his immediate answer is a smile. “But I see no reason to decline your offer, if you can stand this stranger’s company awhile longer.” The door is opened, the small bell above ringing politely, and he first issues a nod of thanks towards the young woman at the counter before turning back. “If you’d be so kind as to lead the way…?”
The boy had an eye for perceiving even the littlest amount of light within a blanket of darkness, a trait he seemed to enjoy quite so. Often times he came into terms of a realistic view of the world, but no one ever told him a rule regarding everything had to be so cynic and critical.
He was human, though, and therefore he was no exception from emotions and personal in depth of his consciousness. It was adaptation that came through quickly, however, granted the gift to bring himself back onto his feet and walk again instead of sulking from burden. His motto consisted of never letting pity bring him down, as it was a frequent pattern that was shown in society itself. For those reasons, he wished to become a lending hand to those that suffered. He wanted them to also see what life could give to them rather than steal and vanquish.
Eyes flitted, baffled at what he might have meant by that. Slow to dissect what true meaning laid beneath it, a general frank answer was given to fill out for temporary.
「“No? But I don’t think a lot of people like having their moods ruined for something that’s already happened, y’know? If they keep hanging onto the past, you won’t be able to make new memories.”」
His smile also offered back at the cashier, it took moments for him until a slight nod was directed at his new company, acknowledging his generous act before taking a few steps forward after him as he exited the store.
「“You can count on me. Oh- also my name is Namazuo.”」
There’s no degree for holding onto your keys.
“Yeah, that would have been a big problem! Thank you so much!”
Roy was actually a little bit surprised. Not only had he dropped his wallet in the city, but someone had actually decided to return it to him. Really, with how crime usually is, Roy could be called a cynic over having expected his wallet to be stolen, but there was some young man who was actually going to return a wallet. Roy continued to go over ways that this could be a trap or noting his luck for all of one second before his stomach growled
Roy owed the kid a debt, though he didn’t really know how to repay him at first. They were standing outside of a restraunt, so Roy briefly had an idea go through his head. He smiled briefly, then returned to his usual neutral expression.
“Say, since you helped me get my wallet back, and I was about to buy take-out anyways, what do you say I order you something, as thanks? Maybe a meat bun or two?”
A smile glowing at the man, it was out of sincerity and the goodness aspect of him. Although it was inevitable to ignore the cruelties and flaws brought upon this world, it had little influence for him to stop what should have been done. Even if this was quite fortunate for the man (considered to be lucky in fact), he perceived it as an obvious outcome out of the situation.
An offer given to him in gratitude of his help, he lightly shook his head, a hand raised to politely refuse. He had only gotten his wallet just now, surely he could have spent that money for other important matters!
「“That’s alright, someone had to eventually pick it up. I also brought enough money with me to buy some for myself!”」
Asides from declination, he spoke nothing but the truth; he came all the way here with his pocket occupied with his own wallet. He had originally intended to come here with an empty stomach, but never had he thought of colliding with someone from an incident such as this.

“Um… I’m not a teacher, at least not yet anyways. I’ve actually looking to see if maybe an English teacher could be used. I actually just graduated. But I’m not sure if they would be willing to take me because I don’t have any experience.”
「“English? That’s a hard subject to major in, isn’t it? Well, for me it is- but that’s amazing! I’m not sure if they’re willing to accept new teachers, but if you’re amazing at it then I’m sure they’ll hire you right away. There’s a lot of students here, so they might be recruiting more teachers.”」
