4. Which canon characters would they get along with? Who wouldn't they?
Elucidate finds Dys generally to be troublesome, on account he breaks the rules and has a tendency to make things difficult for other surveyors; he's certainly good at it, but the lone wolf thing is frustrating. Also, a younger Luci's pride is severely wounded that he managed to see/explore outside the colony before her when she's fifteen and he's not even ten.
She grew up with Kom and she's close to him. He's the main person who can talk her into things and past the seriousness. He frequently roped her into things on the ship and occasionally manages it on planet.
She looks up to and respects Utopia a lot and there's almost a big sister thing going on there if you squint (and it's Vertumna Group dynamics so, you know, maybe it is a little that way!)
9. What would be their preferred gifts?
Luci doesn't know how to react to gifts tbh, lol. Probably it'd be the xeno egg. Cause y'know, the easter egg of where she came from. (but also, ah! responsible of you not to leave it laying around the place)
13. Do they have any xenofauna pets? Do they want any?
She doesn't have time to train a xenofauna and surveying in general has instilled in her too much wariness/respect in the wildlife for her to be comfortable trying to tame one. That said, if an animal were to drop into her lap somehow, she'd treat the task of caring for it with grave importance and dedication. (picturing her carefully feeding a tiny hopeye using a dropper...)
7. What about them changes if peace is established on Vertumna? How do they feel about it?
I don't actually know if Fabulous would change that much. Fabs isn't precisely carefree but they're optimistic and very good at picking themself up. I guess they'd let themself dream more, and they'd certainly be pleased that people didn't have to fight any more (and that their friends weren't being put in danger on hunting trips).
Marvellous would be less tightly wound and feel less of the pushpull of protecting the colony (as a security officer) vs how frustrating he finds the macho soldier BS. In non-peace that remains a major point of tension for him and something that eats away. In peace, he can let it go.
He still has mixed feelings about peace being established; he's willing to give a chance to Gardeners like Sym meeting the colony at their level, but also he isn't just forgetting about all the fighting and all the death.
