She was 20 all over again and she loved it, thatās how it felt, with him looking at her like she was his most prized possession in the world, the two of them up here above the cafe, knowing damn well they shouldnāt be here this late, it was so familiar and thrilling even if for all the wrong reasons. Leaning into his touch she closed her eyes for a moment, making a mental note of how he felt against her, the roughness of his hands and the way his body was beginning to press into hers, she wanted to remember it all for this could be the very last time he was ever this close if he rejected her now. Opening her eyes again they settled on his and at his words, her lips curled back into a small smile, he was always so honest with her, so gentle and caring, it was one of the things she had loved most about him in the first place. Unable to form a word to respond instead the brunette reached over to cup his face in return, lips pressing to his as if giving him the answer he needed for this night to go any further.Ā
This was flat out stupid and Teddy knew it. It wasnāt like theyād discussed anything important: she was back, but for how long? A few days? A week? It wasnāt like sheād dropped her entire life when she came here for a wedding. He knew she would eventually have to go back to it, and more than that, he knew it was going to hurt like a bitch when she did. Saying goodbye to her all over again would certainly be easier if he didnāt let himself get lost in her like he was about to. But even with that thought clear and present in his mind, Teddy was still all too eager to do exactly that the moment her lips touched his. Not that he would have had much choice in the matter either way; heād almost forgotten how easy it was to lose himself in Dottieās kisses. And this one certainly would have knocked him off his feet if he hadnāt already been sitting. Teddyās hand threaded up into her hair as he deepened the kiss, his heart already pounding in his chest. The other hand started at her knee and slid up her thigh to her hip, gripping it as her pulled her body closer to his. He was already half a second away from just pulling her onto his lap completely.

Standing in the library aisle with J.D, he found himself fidgeting, honestly still surprised that he was having a conversation with the guy heād been staring at for weeks. His hands ruffled along the strap of his messenger bag, an unconscious nervous movement that contrasted to the way the other man leaned so casually (and hotly, Noah thought) against one of the bookshelves, As J.D made the comment about the vagueness of the project, he opened his mouth to speak, but couldnāt find anything to say before J.D was pulling out books from the shelf.Ā āYeah, uh, that should all be good,ā he replied, nodding once again.Ā āThanks,ā he said, bending down a bit to look at the books slightly pulled from their shelf. He was supposed to be pretending to be actually interested in this project, right?
āY'know, vague and not really thought through all the way.ā Noah snapped up at that, a flash of panic in his eyes,Ā āWhat?ā He asked without thinking. Shit.Ā āI mean, uh, I dunno. Those were just the instructions they gave us. I uhm, well, I didnāt really ask much else about it. So..ā He ended the sentence with a flustered shrug. Noah could practically feel his face reddening, but he hoped he had managed to keep the ruse together. If anything, he was even more surprised by J.Dās next question than he had been about the project, so that as least distracted him. āOh,ā he answered, the color remaining on his cheeks.Ā āYeah, itās good, I like it.ā Noah swallowed at the question about experimenting, and he tried to give a casual smile in reply, despite the way his heart was beating rapidly in his chest.Ā āNot, uh, not so much. Yet. I mean, Iām⦠yāknow, open.ā He wanted to hit himself for his own words, so rather than linger on them he continued the conversation.Ā āThatās uh, what college is for though, right?ā His eyes met J.Dās for a split second before he lowered them, pretending to look at some of the books.Ā āI mean, did you do anything like that?ā
J.D had to bite his lip to keep from laughing as Noah nearly panicked, his eyes wide as he stumbled through his project story once more. He let out a little chuckle at the younger boyās reddening cheeks before he shook his head.Ā āRelax, kid. Youāre not the first one to make up an excuse to talk to the tall, dark, and handsome librarian.ā he replied with a wide, teasing grin. The quicker they got the whole ruse out of the way, the quicker J.D could figure out exactly what it was Noah was looking for - because if it was a committed boyfriend, then he was definitely barking up the wrong tree. But it was theĀ āyetā in Noahās answer that had J.D thinking they may have already been on the same page.Ā āOpen, huh?ā he repeated, once again letting his eyes trail over the otherās body.Ā āGood to know.ā he added, reaching up to slide the books back into their proper places - now that they were officially done with that little white lie. Noahās next question pulled an actual laugh from J.D, shrugging a shoulder.Ā āUh, well...Iām not really sure they call it āexperimentingā if you stick to it after the crazy teenage years.ā he chuckled.Ā āI guess Iām just open too. Lifeās more fun that way; I get the best of both worlds.āĀ

He certainly lived up to the hype ā eager and yet able tokeep a charming persona through it all. When she had been reading the files,Faye had been shocked by how many women he had managed to lure in. How had theynot been able to see through his false charm and syrupy lies? However, seeinghim face to face, it was all starting to make more sense. Dawson was good, butshe was just more prepared for it than his victims could have ever been. āNo, Idonāt think a first name will be necessary. Dr. Bright will work just fine, thank you.ā Faye looked up at him again, silently observing the man for amoment before a small smile came to her lips. āYou really do believe inyourself donāt you? You honestly think thatās going to work. Iām not interestedin sharing anything of myself with you so how about we move along to the reasonweāre here. Letās talk about you, Dawson.ā
She was fiery; he liked that. Granted, the docile, submissive girls were always easier to manipulate, but Dawson would be lying if said he didnāt enjoy a challenge. She was the ultimate challenge. And honestly, what else was he supposed to do for fun?Ā āOkay, Dr. Bright will do I suppose. For now.ā he mused with a teasing sort of smile.Ā āAnd in the interest of making a good first impression, I guess Iāll be compliant for a little while.ā he added with a shrug of his shoulder before letting out a little sigh.Ā āMy first kill, huh?ā he parroted back at her, smile taking a sinister sort of turn. He leaned forward, elbows resting on the table has his hands remained cuffed to the center of it.Ā āYou know I didnāt even actually get charged for that one?ā he whispered, clearly pleased about that fact - not that one more murder would have effected a life sentence without parole. āI was sixteen. She was some prostitute in Manhattan. Tall. Pretty. I thought she was going to drop to her knees and suck me off right there on the sidewalk when I pulled out that wad of cash - probably more than sheād ever even seen at once though, I guess.ā he shrugged casually.Ā āIt was justĀ so easy; every part of it. Getting her alone, screwing her, killing her, and getting away with it. Wasnāt even in the paper when they found her body but, letās be honest, people donāt really blink when a hooker turns up dead in an alley. They probably thought it was an overdose or just some angry John gone wrong. It was too easy.ā he said honestly.Ā

I have like...zero motivation for this blog anymore tbh. With the exception of like, three of my muses, I have nearly no inspiration for them. The plots and muses I am invested in never seem to get off the ground no matter how many times I try. Meh...Iām thinking a reboot soon.Ā
CAT: "oh by the way". i consider this a more "heads up" situation myself.
CAT: your chivalrous intent is truly endearing, i can't imagine there was a time in my life where you weren't there, thinking about bringing my panties back.
CAT: i'll come back for them, but i might invite your roommate to join us. after all, they're who found my panties.
CAT: maybe they want to see more.
BASH: hey at least I told you
BASH: I know, right? Where would you be without me? ;)
BASH: Oh really now? I thought that would be against the "rules"
BASH: You know, the whole "no telling anyone" thing

āWhen we are in here, the name is Dr. Bright and yes, I canassure you that I am perfectly qualified to be working here with you. Since Iam a real doctor and you are a real patient, I suggest that you cooperate andwe can both get this done.ā She wasnāt clueless to how it looked, sending awoman like herself in to work with a man who would find women just like herjust to kill for the hell of it. Still, despite the insistence from hersuperiors that this was a bad idea, she had insisted that that she be allowedthe case. If she could manage to get down to this manās roots, figure out whyhe did what he did, it would be her biggest breakthrough. āNow then, we shouldbegin. Why donāt you tell me about your first kill?ā
His lips turned up into an amused little smirk as she spoke. Clearly, she was all for getting right down to business. But the quicker he gave her everything she wanted, the quicker their little meeting would come to an end. Dawson couldnāt have that.Ā āI like a girl that doesnāt beat around the bush.ā he told her with a charming little smile.Ā āItās a pleasure to meet you, Dr. Bright. Care to indulge me with your first name? You know, in case weāre ever out of here.ā he requested with a quirked brow. As if he hadnāt received a life sentence and would eventually run into her at her local coffee shop or something.Ā āWell, well, getting right down to it then.ā he pointed out in response to her question.Ā āBut why donāt you tell me a little something about yourself first? I mean, I like to build a little trust before I reveal all my dirty little secrets, donāt you?ā

She had been briefed of his situation well before thesession. His file had been huge, filled with documentation of his crimes andthe various diagnosis that he had been labeled with since getting booked ā manyof which she wasnāt entirely sure she agreed with. Though she had yet to meetthe patient in person just yet, news of him had spread through the town likewildfire. Knowledge of what he had done was why she had been all but begged notto take on the case in the first place, but Faye couldnāt allow herself to bescared. Being scared meant that someone wasnāt going to get help and with a manlike Dawson not getting help, it surely meant that more innocent women wouldeventually die. The blonde crossed her legs, still looking at the manās chartthen at her notepad, practically ignoring him for a moment before finallylooking up. āIf you could have a seat, we can get started.ā
Dawson didnāt take his eyes off of the woman even as she pointedly ignored his comment. She was stunning; the exact kind of woman that would have caught his eye and most likely ended up dead because of it. He idly wondered what her bosses were playing at, sending someone who looked like her in to interview someone like him. They had to know that just the sight of her would have given him some kind of reaction. Nevermind the fact that it had been weeks since heād even seen another woman, let alone been able to carry a conversation. Though perhaps that had been their goal - dangle someone in front of him that they all knew he couldnāt touch. A victim he couldnāt have. āAnything youād like, beauty.ā he replied, voice low and smooth as he followed her request and sank into the uncomfortable chair across from her.Ā āBut before we start, I have to ask...were you chosen to interview me based on your qualifications...or did the bossman just want to lock me in a box with a beautiful woman and see what happened?ā

Levi honestly wasnāt even sure what he was doing here. The director had told him that she had wanted to see him and that was that. Of course, nobody knew why the star would need or want to see the third assistant, and the director was furious about it, but Levi honestly thought heād rather lose his job than tell this woman no. Theyād barely spoken, apart from a brief conversation in her dressing room, one heād thought she was going to forget as soon as sheād sober up. Evidently he must have left some kind of impression though, for that had to be the only explanation for her requesting him to meet her at the lavish home theyād rented for her to use during filming. He was not typically a nervous person by any means, but standing outside the door of what had to be the most beautiful woman heād ever laid eyes on had his heart racing. He even checked his breath and smoothed the front of his shirt down before lifting his hand to knock. Heād been working near her enough lately that one would think heād stop being quite so starstruck - but the moment the door opened and he saw her standing on the other side, Levi found himself just as breathless as all the other times.Ā āHi. Hey. I mean, hello, I- Lou told me you asked to see me, that, uh, you-you asked if I could stop over so Iām- I- I just wanted to make sure everything was uh- well, okay.ā He was far from a smooth ladies man, but Jesus. Was he ever going to be able to form a fully functional sentence with her?

It was a waste of time, really. They wanted him to see a shrink so they could get to the āroot of his problemā and figure out why heād done the things he had. Apparently the fact that he enjoyed it wasnāt a good enough reason and so once a week, he was going to be pulled from his cell and put in a room where he would be handcuffed to a table and subjected to an hour of some stuffy suit asking him questions. Dawson figured he would humor them for a few weeks, if for nothing else than a lack of anything better to do, so when the guard came to his cell door and slid it open, he complied with the usual instructions without any lip. He was lead into a windowless, one-doored room and he allowed himself to be handcuffed to the bar in the center of the table before sitting down with a sigh, watching as the guard left the room and told him the psychologist would be here any minute. Dawson was only the slightest bit curious about what the guy might be like - but even he was caught off guard when she finally walked in. She looked like the epitome of professionalism, but that didnāt stop his mind from wandering in the slightest. āWell, well, well, arenāt you a pretty little thing?ā

;; Concern crossed Celesteās features, her hand moving from his thigh to his hand.Ā āShe did something bad, didnāt she? Donāt tell Anna I said this, but I always thought you were too good for your wife. Thereās something about you Roman.ā Thereās a smile and a flash of sincere caring in her dark orbs for the briefest of moments. Of course, the woman knew she should know better that was her best friendās dad after all, but Celeste felt insulted after Anna stood her up and clearly Roman liked what he saw, so in her eyes there was nothing wrong with this situation at all ā if he toldĀ her to stop, she would.Ā āYou just have to say yes. I got stood up by your daughter and youāre in some obvious need of company, so why donāt we keep each other company?ā Despite the womanās ability to pull an innocent act, Celeste was the complete opposite. She was usually found being the bad influence amongst her group of friends, and occasionally it trickled into corrupting others. As Roman agreed to let her lick the salt off his hand, she gave him a bright smile, body moving so she was closer to his ear.Ā āI should warn you..ā She started softly, breast being pushed out ever so slightly so the brushed against his arm as the woman kept her voice low and sultry.Ā āI get a little risky when I drink tequila. I hope you can handle it.ā Thereās almost a devilish grin across her features as she finishes speaking, her head tilting ever so slightly to press a gentle fleeting kiss on his jawline ā and then sheās pulling away, raising his hand to her lips and with a quick movement sheās licked the back of his hand and was applying the salt.Ā āReady?ā Celeste doesnāt give him time to respond before sheās using her flat tongue to lick off the salt and finish her shot, with the wedge of lime being place back in the shot glass.Ā āThank you.ā
Something bad. Roman let out another bitter little chuckle.Ā āYeah. You could say that.ā he said with a somber nod, pondering for a moment before abruptly shaking his head. Heād been about to tell her that he didnāt want to talk about his wife anymore, that heād come out to drink specifically to not even think about the woman for a few hours, but Celeste was speaking before he could. Her comment may not have been the most appropriate, but in the moment, it made Roman feel...better. Like she was confirming what he hadnāt actually let himself admit yet tonight.Ā āWell, certainly feels like it tonight.ā he muttered with a little shake of his head before he shot her a little smile.Ā āBut thanks. Honestly thatās kinda nice to hear right now.ā he added. They were definitely crossing int territory that Roman knew they shouldnāt. On any other night, he wouldnāt have even entertained the idea of sitting here and flirting with another woman - much less the best friend of his daughter - but the attention left him feeling validated after feeling like his wife had tossed him to the side. Even if she had told him what a mistake it was, how much she regretted it, swearing up and down that it was never going to happen again, it still stung like a son of a bitch. What was the harm in flirting with a pretty girl while he licked his wounds? Even if that pretty girl was half his age, tight and smooth in all the right places, and pressing her perky tits against his arm. HerĀ āwarningā (that oddly sounded more like a promise) made him smirk, followed by a low little chuckle at the quick little kiss she left on his cheek. Luckily he wasnāt given time to comment. Unluckily, that was because she was getting ready to do her tequila shot. The sight of her little pink tongue gliding across his skin made him sink his teeth into his bottom lip, the images it created in his mind being far from appropriate.Ā āGod, youāre trouble, little girl.ā he said without thinking.
