Une fiction, racontant l’histoire d’un jeune garçon à la gare
.Waiting for the subway.
My mother spent two years in New York when she was 20, and I think it might have been the two best years of her life. Growing up, I heard my mom talk about her experience there, over and over again, and the city like no other one.  That’s why I always thought that maybe when she left, a piece of my mother’s happiness stayed there. So during the summer of my 19th year, I decided to go myself, for a month and make my own idea of the « Concrete Jungle ».
Raymond, was the first person to show me around the city, we went down different streets, saw people and neighborhoods. He was also was the first to ask me why I had come to New York. And that pretty much struck me, because I didn’t have a good answer to give him. …To get away, see something new, experience life maybe.

“What mostly caught my eye here in New York, were the people. They are the spirit of the city, that make it so diverse, cosmopolitan, electric and even hectic. This is a small vidéo which documents my month of August spent in New York City and the various meeting with 6 people that were open to share some of there interesting stories about why they came to the city, and how come it can be a tough decision to bite into the Big Apple.” -Natasha Degrandi
