Free Dry Cleaning Offer Changes Lives Of The Unemployed
Carlos Vasquez owns First Professional Cleaners, a business that has helped thousands of people with one small act of kindness: free dry cleaning.
For the full touching story including the donations that flooded in to help pay for this free dry cleaning service go here.
It’s technically true.
My history teacher would give you a half point or quarter point for an answer that was not wrong. This is not wrong.
Well if you word your questions like that and don’t provide an answer bank, then you should accept the consequences and give the kid the point.
When I taught English I would give the kids half a point if they outsmarted me. I mean, they may not have gotten the point of the lesson, but at least they were thinking, you know?
I don’t get when people are against immigration??? Like do you really feel so much more entitled to this part of earth than someone else? Do you think that it’s okay to tell people they’re only allowed in a tiny part of the planet?
True, I never understand why people have to stay in theit own cointr country as we all live on the same planet and are the same specie. I don't care where you live or are born. All I care about is us being respectful towards each other.
Look at this precious baby I met yesterday! He was so soft… It was like petting a happy cloud…
Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean mental illness don’t exist.

THIS IS AWESOME….and hilarious. Is it wrong that I was laughing the whole way through? “They just don’t want tea”
@diggo26 @yespleasehawkeye
OMG WHAT IS THIS? LOL
I love how its tea, but I don’t like tea (I mean actual tea :P LOL)
Now that’s how you do a public information video.
I fucking lost it at the “unconscious people don’t want tea, trust me.” bit.
A good metaphor I guess (also now “God save the Queen” is stuck in my head even though it was just the tune).
hey so you know that vicious cycle of mental health making you unproductive which makes your mental health worse? don’t worry friend I am here with something that can help
just get one thing done. break the cycle. it doesn’t have to be some big task. in fact it’s better if it isn’t. decide on something that takes five minutes or less. keep it tiny and manageable - the key is to feel like you’ve accomplished something, so when your brain is all, you can’t even do a single thing all day except lay in bed being useless, you can be like, oh but I did do something, brain, suck on that. it might not seem like much at the time but it helps a lot to have something tangible you can point to
do you have dirty dishes in your bedroom? get rid of ‘em. you don’t have to wash them, just put them in the sink with soapy water. done. easy.
do you have a pile of empty water bottles sitting there? good for you staying hydrated. but you don’t need a mountain of plastic reminders. throw a few in the trash or in recycling. don’t worry about chasing down every single one, just pick a number. get rid of 5 or 10. easy, manageable even if you feel terrible. done.
do you need to do something early tomorrow? get something ready now. just one thing. lay out an outfit. fill the coffee maker so you can just press a button tomorrow. pack your backpack or purse. bonus benefit, future you will have an extra few minutes to breathe in the morning.
do you have a pet? spend 5 minutes with your pet. cuddle them. play tug of war. make baby noises at them. your pet loves you. I bet they miss you when you’re sad. you’ll both feel better.
has it been 3 weeks since you did laundry? pick your clothes up off the floor and put them in a laundry basket. don’t actually wash them or even take the basket anywhere. just collect the clothes for later so they aren’t spread all over. it’ll make actually doing them that much easier when you have more energy
did you manage to wash your clothes but not put them away? fold something. fold another thing. and one more. put them away. three things. you got this one.
did you do your one thing? good. I’m proud of you. even if it didn’t make you feel better, guess what? you did a thing. you got something done, you can be done now. you can go back to bed if you want.
Christmas can be a difficult time, even without batting mental illness.
Try to be organised. If you haven’t already, sort your presents, wrapping, when you’ll deliver them. Sort out your plans for the Christmas period, when you finish work/school and then what you’ll be doing on each day.
Plan ahead. Make sure you have completed your work and assignments before the deadline. Concentrate on them so you can have a more relaxing Christmas not worrying about it.
Alcohol. Lots of people drink more over the Christmas/New Year period, so be careful of how much you drink; it’s a depressant after all so can make you have low moods, become irritable or even aggressive.
Food. Sometimes in this period, we over-indulge and eat more than usual. If you need control over what you eat, then help out during meal times and serve yourself. Nobody will be watching how much you eat. Enjoy the yummy Christmas dinner.
Stay in touch. Get in touch with old friends, with family, your friends and meet up with them or just have a phone call. It makes you feel good catching up. They can also listen to you and be there for you as well.
Sleep. Our routine over Christmas is normally all over the place. Try to sleep at normal times and wake up when you normally would. Lack of sleep and over sleeping can affect mental health.
Be aware of what you are worried about, what triggers you, and try to address how you will deal with it before Christmas is here.
Make time for yourself too, Christmas is about others and family but you are important too. Have your alone time so you aren’t overwhelmed.
Plan your travel ahead of time, there are normally changes to public transport over the Christmas period so think ahead.
Christmas isn’t about presents - it’s about family time.
As for New Year: You have almost made it to a new year. Don’t give up now, you can do this. You don’t have to do anything on New Years Eve if you don’t want to, it’s your choice.
Take care of yourself and I hope you have a lovely Christmas. I’m here if you need anything. <3

Fact #112: You deserve friends who respect your gender.
If your nude photos are posted online without your permission, Microsoft and Google want to know.
For years, most victims of revenge porn — people who have had their nude photos shared online without permission — basically couldn’t do anything about it.
According to one study, over 50% of all adults engage in sexting, and 70% admit to having received a nude photo online or over the phone.
And yet, despite the fact that we all (or at least more than half of us) do it, there’s still this weird, persistent, harmful notion that if your naked pictures get leaked or shared maliciously by an ex online, it’s your fault for taking them in the first place.
It’s completely backward, but sadly, the law seems to at least kind of agree.
As of September 2014, New Republic found, putting someone else’s illicit photos online without their consent was illegal in just 16 states, though laws have been proposed in more states. Not only is it typically impossible to prosecute the perpetrator, they note, it’s impossible to legally compel websites to take the images taken down most of the time.
But thankfully, Microsoft and Google — which operate two of the biggest search engines on the web — don’t think it’s your fault. And they’re finally saying “Enough is enough.”
Here’s how to report a non-consensual image posting on Bing.
And here’s how to do it on Google.

Caitlyn Jenner’s hypocritical transphobia sparks backlash
A recent interview with Time has some people saying “time’s up” to Caitlyn Jenner. In the interview, Jenner described the idea of “passing” to not make people uncomfortable. The backlash was swift — but one tweet pointed out who may really be to blame for Jenner’s internalized transphobia.
There is no sharp division between male and female brains, according to researchers who found that we are all a mixture instead.
