Fara’s Arc is back for more sketches, lore, and chaos in 2026! Yes, really! The last time I touched my Star Fox fancomic concept about Fara Phoenix having her own death-defying parallel plotline during the Lylat Wars of 64 was in 2020 - 2021. I can’t get enough of this story, it’s such a sweet escape for me to keep developing!

Since I’ve been on such a long hiatus to the point that this plot has aged like fine wine, I’m calling my own reboot of my own fic-comic something DIRECTOR’S CUT-y: Fara’s Arc DX! As you can tell, I’m extremely lazy when it comes to naming my stories, but I wanted this one to sound just like a videogame. I had fun cooking up a few sketches of new ideas today.

Fara Phoenix and her bonoboyfriend, Frankie, kicking some ass. In the SF continuity that exists solely in my head, Fara has a romance separate from Fox as a foil to the Andross/Vixy ‘relationship’.

Wow this artwork is so badass. I like how you gave Fara a boyfriend who is an ape. This pair is like the Andross x Vixy canon. An ape and a fennec fox. I’ll bet the hybrid offspring would be adorable and unique. I mean there has got to be hybrids that are yet to be revealed in the Star Fox universe, which is fiction, so it shouldn’t hurt to make up cross-breed characters in the franchise. The manga Beastars by Paru Itagaki had some hybrids in the plot. Also, I do wonder if even though the ‘93 comic is noncanon, Fara will miraculously have the chance to appear in future SF games? Anyways, this art is super tight, and you should keep up the good work pal.👍🏽😉 Interspecies Love FTFW!🦊💘🐵

Mixed pairings in Star Fox are rare so far, but I’m fond of them. We’ve never seen a kid from them either unless I’m forgetting someone. I think they might be like Bojack, where the kid is either one or the other species in appearance, or like you said, hybrids. Tell us how those work, Nintendo! I picture all of them as Lylatian: just a race of aliens that happen to look like animal-people (Even the reptilians, considering how Itoh gave them lizard-tiddies  mammal features. And… Beltino and Grippy have facial hair? Whut…).

6-years-later update (Wow!!): I have to clear the air here and say that nothing happens to Frankie, everyone. 🙈 We can breathe easy now. I really don’t know what I was thinking back then, but I don’t have any plans to kill him off. He’s too integral to the plot (and we all like him too much, as it stands!).

I think making Fara’s surprising partner-in-rebellion and love interest die tragically would be a cheap shot at melodrama that I never want to take. NO! Frankie lives. He’s going to be fine. He’s really important as a plot device alongside Fara later on.

… Though perhaps we can still experiment with that heavy concept as part of a Really Bad Ending to Fara’s Arc. I still don’t like it though, truth be told. What was past me thinking?!

I had other extremely intense ideas for the Fara’s Arc ending that I didn’t ever post or follow through on because I think they were too much in retrospect. I may reveal some old ideas eventually. Some were really in-line with the SNES’s dark and gritty tone, but I think I was pushing it even farther than that in ways I don’t actually want to work with now. You’ll notice that I change and embellish on certain things about the old 2020 plot in my new 2026 version.

Hii ✌️ I’ve been checking out your posts about the Fara’s arc and they’re really great! I love how you gave more backstory and personality to the already-established-characters. And your ocs also look really charismatic, especially Frankie, love that guy. This whole fandom is so creative, the Star Fox franchise truly has so much potential

I totally agree with you on the fandom, I was just thinking the other day about how Star Fox has such a dedicated fanbase with some incredible fan projects out there. The potential for this franchise is real! There’s so much interesting lore!

there are too many things happening this summer that i'm thinking we are going to need an extra 6-12 months of june and possibly another 3-4 months of july. probably no extra august as the problem should hopefully sort itself out by then. we are also looking into extending the day night cycle to 55 hours and extending the human lifespan to 10000 years.

the funny part is how i took ideas from everywhere and it somehow ended up becoming the "dunking on falco" comic 😭 it's what he deserves
