So, the steam overlay browser is really weird.

I had to install millennium to get a plugin which allows me to install extensions, just so I can have AdBlock in it.

But also, apparently it can't play like drm controlled content or something???

Idk, YouTube works, but I can't look at porn and also weird piracy sites.

On one streaming site it would just go back on it's own? I'd click on the series, have it load a little, and then go back.

It's such an odd piece of software but also it's so nice to have it Infront of a game like that

Uhh, yesterday I played around with it a little.

Gnome currently only has seemingly one shitty extension to control window opacity that sucks major balls. And also, when switching over to it, the game window minimizes, so I have to re-focus it.

It's very weird and jank, and the workflow with the steam overlay is much more convenient

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it quite a few times already.

Tho, only on my desktop, which I use very rarely and pretty much exclusively for video games. (I recently discovered that I can't code for shit on my desktop because I'm only used to doing it on my laptop so everything feels wrong and bad and I don't like it)

Had some issues gaming with just WMs so I wanted a DE that has all of the good shit out of the box, and out of all DEs Gnome is my favourite by a long shot.

iirc the steam overlay browser is just an electron app that opens Google? it does some janky shit to get it to work, but I feel like if you can get it working, modifying the steam client to use firefox instead of the electron browser may be possible. Who knows.

I have one of these and I keep it in my IT toolkit because that teeny little screwdriver is the right side for laptop casings, but because it lives inside a large object it’s harder to misplace than a standard tiny screwdriver. Also because the look on a client’s face when you bring out a brass hammer to fix their laptop is absolutely wild.
