Erling continues;

‘I’m good friends with Martin. He’s an amazing guy and I wish him all the success he can have. It’s incredible when Norwegians do so well and I hope there’ll be more of us going forward who gets to want to follow us.’

The podcast hosts asks;

‘Do you text or snap after a match?’

He responds;

‘Yes, we mess with each other a lot. We talk pretty much every day and it’s very cool. Obviously it’s making me very proud as a Norwegian.’

Taken from a news bureau we have a statement from Ødegaard regarding his relationship with Erling.

‘We’ve spoken a lot with each other, but not about this match. It’s an important match between two teams that have a lot of history with each other. ~ I’m not surprised over what Erling has achieved. I’ve followed his journey for many years and I know he’s an amazing player and incredible striker.’

The trainer for the Norwegian national team is very pleased that his captain and vice captain get along well, he states;

‘It probably comes down to them spending a lot of time together and being close in age. They been in touch a lot over a long period of time so it’s come very natural to them.
