I never liked the reveal of the "true" claudia turning scene in season 2 because its treated as such a big deal, especially by the fandom, when it really didn't change anything that we already knew about the event. We already knew that lestat warned louis and that louis pleaded. What's the reveal? That lestat warned for longer than we thought? That louis pleaded harder? That lestat mentioned some laws louis had never heard of? Claudia had already confronted louis about it in season 1 and ultimately learned to accept her vampirism and (mostly) forgive louis, so I don't see why she'd be so concerned that lestat might be telling the truth in the trial. I do like the scene though.

#this is always what I thought too!!#imo the only thing the trial revealed is that lestat saw louis as unhinged and emotional #thats the only real change. louis emotions. not the content of these moments itself #both the redone S1EP5 fight where Louis threatened to feed Lestat to a lion or whatever lol #and the claudia turning scene where he begged on his knees for lestat to save her #both times in Lestats telling Louis comes off as super unstable and hysterical and thats the part he choses to accent #I dont hate it I can see why Louis might not be able to recall his unstable emotional state in these very traumatic moments #especially considering the controlled calm no NOLA accent zen attitude of dubai louis during the interview #which was partly armands influence. like hes so cut off from his emotions of course his recollections of that would be the foggiest #meanwhile it ALSO makes sense for Lestat to see Louis in that way since his first impression of Louis is “threatening to murder his brother:#and that repressed rage was what he fell in love with #so to Lestat Louis might be this volatile person and thats how he describes him

Saw the new evil dead movie last night and it's good but it's driving me a little insane seeing so many people more upset about the dog than the. Human woman ? The on screen domestic violence? Like do we just come to horror movies wanting to see women brutalized but the fucking *dog* getting hurt is too far. Does anybody in this thread smoke weed

IDK MAN you're entitled to your personal icks but saying the dog violence was the nastiest hardest to watch part of THIS movie is fucking crazy to me. I'm not condemning the movie itself to be clear I thought the #themes were handled well if Really Unsubtly it's just, yknow, maybe I don't quite give a fuck about the dog next to Everything Else. does anyone remember the amc show interview with the vampire? one of the greatest things television gave us in its era. heartbreaking that it ended after two seasons when those characters were so beautifully crafted. i really wish we could’ve had more.
