@neffin
keep being you. somebody is gonna feel it.
I'm in love with involuntary validation of a relationship. My best friend saying "our spot", my brother saying "our cookie recipe" or my mum saying "our song". Like YES I LOVE YOU TOO. I'm so soft for it.

Growing up in an abusive household is a fucking trip dude……If you’ve never had someone angrily wash a dish at you or fold a sock in your direction then how are you gonna understand why I get nervous when you quietly do the laundry, or why I ask “are you mad at me?” when you set the bag of groceries down too hard? It’s a totally different way of living and it impacts you long after you’ve left the situation.
This is so important.
Abused kids speak a language you can’t learn
I’ll never forget the people who threw a fit about this post because they didn’t understand the anxiety when someone just seems angry while in your proximity
“Stop saying sorry all the time!”
“Oh, okay sorry.”
struggling to accept a favour from someone because they will ask for something in return. Nothing comes for free.
Wait….I am confusion…..this is basically me….but I was never abused by my parents….not physically….explain????
Emotional abuse is just as bad, if not worse in some cases. And all of the things in the first post? Are forms of emotional abuse that most people don’t consider abuse because it was so “mild.”
All abuse can mess up your brain in ways you’ll only notice when you can’t function.
If you were ever afraid to do something, say something, or even just be yourself around your parents, they more than likely abused you. You just haven’t recognized the abuse for what it was yet.
Shit can hurt but we keep it gangsta
You will respect black cats or you will respect these hands my friend
