When fighting a Dry Bones in Mario & Luigi: Brothership and defeating it via a jump counterattack on its flying head, a glitch can occur whereby the Dry Bones's head will remain on the battlefield after the enemy itself dies.
Note the floating head behind Mario near the left edge of the screen in the footage. The head will remain there until the end of the battle.

This is the most real MTG post of all time cause I'll give you one guess which of these two cards was an absolute menace in standard and had to be banned and which one hasn't seen any play since getting reprinted
Progenitus: Overcosted beef that's hard to get rid of.
Heartfire Hero: "Any objections if we make strictly better Rabid Wombat that can also explode and kill everyone? Really? No-one? Okay!"
I love environmental storytelling
Learning Magic the Gathering from my partner has been kinda hilarious cuz I find a lot of the cards will be either:
Treznor, the Eternal Flame: *3 paragraphs of text* -> Widely maligned, considered basically useless
Grey Rock: adds 2 mana -> $14,000 per copy, outlawed in 12 countries
I got inspired
this is how it feels to talk to my parents about my mental health
*driving in my smart car* Google glass, show me the nearest e-cig shop! *beeping sound* ugh no! Only show ones that accept Bitcoin!
this was considered an outlandish joke in 2014
Science fiction is full of first contact stories, but is there a such thing as LAST contact? Decide exactly what that means, and write about it.
It was too late, when the humans came. They were a young species, still exploring outwards, vital and thriving.
We… were not.
War had ravaged us, and sickness, and war once again, until our population dwindled beyond the point of recovery. We struggled against that, of course… we used genetic manipulation, and cloning, and even more desperate measures. None succeeded. When the humans came, we were sinking into apathy, only a few tens of us left. We had begun to discuss whether we should commit a mass suicide, or simply wait to fade away.
And then the young species came, in their clumsy ships, and they asked us why we were so few.
“We are becoming extinct,” we told them. “We have passed the point of recovery.”
It is custom to avoid the races that are dying – once a species reaches the point of inevitable extinction, even war is suspended, and the fiercest enemy pulls back. The custom was born of plagues and poisons that could be carried forth from a dying world to afflict a healthy one, but it has the implacable weight of tradition now. After we are gone, after they have waited for the prescribed period of quarantine, there will be a fight for our world. Habitable worlds are few, and this is a good one, with plenty of free groundwater and thriving vegetation. It is a bitter thing to be grateful for the custom that allows us to die in peace, but we are grateful.
But the humans don’t know that custom, and they do not leave. They seem distraught, when we tell them we are dying, and try to offer their aid - but their technology is behind ours, and it is too late. When they realize that they can’t save us, though, they do something that bewilders us.

No but seriously as I’ve gotten older I realize more and more that although white gays do face certain levels of oppression they are still white people.....like does that make sense?
Like yes a white lesbian has some form oppression against her but she’s still a white woman..... and the same thing for white gay men and white trans men and women like they’re still white !!!!!!
Like I don’t mean this in a rude way but like if we’re going to be honest about the lgbtq community we should also talk about how the white people in said community oppress poc and it doesn’t change just because they’re in a minority group they’re still white people
And like personally I’ve seen that white lgbtq ppl hate when you bring up that their still white because they’ve separated themselves in their mind as being better but they’re still white!!!
Hello white people should definitely be looking at this and reblogging it lmaooo
This is intersectionality; the idea that you can be privileged on one scale but oppressed on another.
It’s just scary at times, because it means that A) You have to accept that everyone has some bit of privilege that they need to recognize, and B) You have to give up the search for the Most Oppressed Person.
can not believe that a 70 year old senator actually uttered the phrase “ignorant slut” about bernie sanders on the senate floor.
So what actually happened was senator Kennedy said to Neera Tandem, “you basically called Bernie Sanders everything but an ignorant slut”
Which apparently is a reference to a SNL sketch from 1970s, which is odd but also not completely batshit crazy
But what is crazy is that senator Lindsey Graham in the background, who was not actively part of the conversation, then interrupting to respond with “well I wouldn’t say ignorant”
So whilst technically no senator referred to Bernie Sanders as an “ignorant slut”, senator Lindsey Graham did state quite firmly that he is in fact a slut, just a very knowledgable one
Do we now live in a world where “Jane, you ignorant slut” is a deep cut? (CW slut shaming)
This has the same energy as that Baltimore car commercial
Not just the same energy, also the same background music!

If it were ever possible for a neighborhood to demand an apology, we owe the West End of Boston a deep apology.
Now that I’m awake and feeling smarter, I’d like to expand on this.
If you say the West End today, even the most Bostony Bostonian would have to take a second to remember you’re talking about Government Center and the area around there. That’s not to say it’s not thought of or marked on maps (there’s even a plaque commemorating the old neighborhood; predictably Boston, there’s a coffeehouse nearby), or that nothing important happened there (the historic Quincy Market is part of that neighborhood, as is a plaque commemorating the now-famous “Come here, Watson, I need you” phone call that made Alexander Graham Bell a household name).
The neighborhood, at the time, was typical “working poor” Boston, row after row of brownstone tenements, of which only 42 Lomasney is left, known now as alternately The Last Tenement, 42 Lowell (the original name of the street), or “That weird-ass house near the Garden that I think a mobster used to live in”.
A very long, complicated story short, the neighborhood, in the 50s, was declared blighted. Some say it might’ve been; the neighborhood had it’s population drop in the last few years of it’s existence, leaving many abandoned buildings, and was close enough to the old Combat Zone that spillover could happen. Others say it was political; Hynes had a vendetta against the neighborhood that supported a rival candidate for mayor and was going to take it out on them come hell or high water. There are also race (the neighborhood was traditionally Italian and Jewish) and classist (the buildings that replaced the high-density tenements were expensive high-rises in a particularly convenient part of the town for those with money) explanations as well. The result was the same, however, and a huge part of historic old Boston was ripped up, with the buildings destroyed being replaced by some of the ugliest and most poorly designed buildings in Boston (I don’t remember if it’s the new City Hall or the new Courthouse there, but for one of the buildings, you have to go outside to go from one side of the building to the other).
It’s a travesty it happened, and likely strengthened the resistance to the Southwest corridor and a lot of future “urban renewal” style projects in Boston.
