I don’t care what anyone says, I’ll always believe that the best option for Laxus is Freed. Will it ever be canon? Most likely not. But considering that this is Fairy Tail we’re talking about, it doesn’t surprise me.

So, in defence of Fraxus:

Given what we know about the two, they’ve been teammates and best friends for years. They possibly share the closest bond each of them has with another human being. They’d die and kill for each other, and they trust the other more than they trust anyone else. Not to mention the insane levels of loyalty (Mainly from Freed’s side, but also from Laxus’)

Now, it’s obvious that Freed has romantic feelings for Laxus, but something many people like to bring up is “Laxus only sees Freed as a friend”. It’s a running joke in the anime, but I genuinely think it’s just what it is. A running joke, not something to be taken too seriously.

Let’s take the more serious moments to talk about Laxus’ potential feelings for Freed. It is officially a deep friendship, but there are a few factors that make me think that Laxus might be in love with him too. There’s a main one i’d like to point out.

I remember someone else pointing this out before, but i’m saying it anyway. Sometimes, during fights or other serious moments, when a character is involved, the scene will somehow highlight their main love interest. This is usually used to highlight the character’s feelings for the other in a subtle way. And guess what? This happens a few times with Laxus and Freed. The first scene I can think of is:

The way they SPECIFICALLY hinted at Freed as Laxus says this?! It’s a clear example of what I just said. It could have been Evergreen, or Bickslow, or even all three. But no. Freed. Just him. And sometimes, when Laxus refers to the thunder legion, he straight up says “Freed and the others”, so again, they’re highlighting Freed in his words.

Another example. Here, Bickslow and Evergreen are also shown. But still they put more emphasis on Freed and Laxus. Plus the looks they share here?? Hello?? Nothing about it says ‘platonic’.

These are ALL moments that specifically highlight them, while Bickslow and Evergreen are put in the background a bit more. And yes, it might be Mashima’s way of simply saying “Their friendship is extremely strong”, but it’s hard to not think about the possibility of Laxus having feelings for Freed when they’ve done this with basically all the main ships and couples as well.

With that said, I want to clarify that with this post I’m not trying to say that Fraxus is better than any other pair including either Freed or Laxus, because I genuinely think that there are many totally valid ships involving each of them. This is just a personal opinion. Thank you for reading!

do you love yuri? gorgeous art styles? sick ass action scenes with unbelievably stupid stakes? a solid mostly female main cast of characters that play off of each other really well and are also funny as fuck?

Introducing "Love Bullet", the GL manga about cupids! with GUNS!

The series isn't officially localized in english yet, but luckily fan translators are hard at work on a real-time english translation (I won't share a link here, but you can find it easily enough)

*flowey voice* huh? why am i doing all this? because love bullet is at risk of being cancelled!

the author's said she already has the entire story planned out, but due to bad marketing and a lack of official english translations, the sales for volume one have been pretty low, and the story risks being discontinued

the chapters out so far aren't many, they're a relatively quick read, and really entertaining all the same. i am DYING to see more of these characters, they're loads of fun and there's some genuinely interesting hypotheticals about love, romance (and lack thereof) the series could get into... but only if it stays running!!

so please, give this story a shot (lol) and if you like it, consider supporting the original mangaka. other fans of LB have been resourceful enough to put together a way for you to do that, even as a western fan, so it's the least i can do to spread the word.

“Erza’s Cinderella?”

The authorized Chinese version of the light novel “Fairy Tail in Wonderland” is finally released by the Taiwan publisher Tong Li, 3 years after the publication of the original Japanese version. Being a fan of Erza and Jerza, I’m really happy to be able to find out finally what’s happened with Erza and the rumored fake Jellal prince in the story. Since there’s no official English version at the moment and I love Erza, I decided to summarize and translate Erza’s part of the story into English based on the Chinese version, for those who can’t read Japanese / Chinese and are fans of Erza and Jerza just like me. While my translation isn’t professional and perfect, I can safely say that the contents are not far away from the Chinese version, and all the significant parts are included.

Stumbled upon this gem of an official Fairy Tail Drama CD thanks to @heartfilia-source for linking the actual audio + full summary in their sidebar (big fan 😌 thank you for all the Lucy-centric stuff!!)

The overall plot is pretty interesting (Lucy being a detective and using her big brain!!! Almost gives danganronpa vibes without the killing part!!! Big fan!!!) and I’m sad there’s no actual visuals/anime filler ep(s) dedicated to it considering they use the anime JP VA cast for Team Natsu but it was fun to listen to and follow along with the summary!

There are QUITE a number of cute nalu banter/moments that got me screaming so I’ll be listing them all with their timestamps! Praying one day we get a full proper english translation on it (and the LIGHT NOVELS ):<) if there isn’t one somewhere out there.

It starts off with Natsu, Lucy, and Happy taking on a certain job from the request board.

Arriving at the mansion, Natsu mentions that it looks like Lucy’s old home. Lucy notes down the similarities and agrees with him. (0:58-1:09)

Entering the mansion, Natsu says that Lucy’s old home was about as big too and she agrees again, feeling nostalgic. (2:11-2:16)

Erza, Wendy, Charle, and Gray compliments the food they all woke up to but Natsu says he feels like he tasted it somewhere before with Happy saying “Me too!” Lucy asks them if that’s true and Erza asks where have they eaten it before. Natsu says he doesn’t know but doesn’t think it was that long ago. (12:28-12:44)

Natsu turns to Gray and ask if he really isn’t the imposter. Lucy considers Gray’s Molding Magic where he could make another master key out of ice and basically sus’ed him out, much to his chagrin and Natsu’s ABSOLUTE delight. (34:02-34:55)

Natsu uses his flames to lead the way as Lucy struggles to keep up. She calls out for him and Wendy but trips and falls, dropping the mirror compact. Natsu goes back to her asking what is she doing, tells her to hurry and get up while giving her compact back. (38:28-38:53)

With the two of them left, Lucy wonders if Natsu really is the culprit after all (LMAO) and Natsu immediately protests. However, he recalls Lucy saying something about the least suspicious being the culprit and wonders if he really is the culprit.  (39:23-39:36)

Natsu figures out who the culprit is and Lucy is surprised he figured it out before her. He says it’s simple enough for an idiot to get and asks Lucy if she hasn’t figured it out yet then does that mean he’s smarter than her? (39:56-40:14)

Lucy gets annoyed at him saying she didn’t expect to hear him say that and adds on that sometimes he acts stupid then smart so she doesn’t get him. (40:15-40:24)

Natsu spills wise words from Makarov that no matter how wise someone is, there will be times when they are stupid and vice versa. He then says he is the least suspicious one and everyone disappeared but he isn’t the culprit, leaving only one answer. Lucy doesn’t get it and Natsu admits he doesn’t fully understand everything but knows who the culprit is and they should go to the Chamber of Mirrors to see. (40:25-40:58)

After confirming she IS the culprit, Lucy mentions Natsu saying he remembers the seasoning of the food earlier because he comes to eat her cooking at her apartment from time to time. (44:45-44:58)

At the very end, Wendy says she had fun with everyone (Team Natsu) in that house, it was like they’ve become a family. Natsu asks what is she talking about because they’ve been a family for a long time now. Lucy seeing all their smiles silently agrees with him, that the guild is their home and wherever their Fairy Tail friends are, that’s their home.  (58:41-59:16)

I think the new mystery guy is deku's dad.

We know deku's dad has a fire breathing quirk and with that mask he wouldn't be able to use it.

Inko might have lied to him about where his dad is or she doesn't know herself.

Deku's dad? I mean maybe. Would explain why his mouth has a guard tied to it (I think he had a fire breath quirk, no?).

So maybe Inko thought he worked abroad, but instead he ended up in some underground lab? Or Inko covered up that he was locked up for something? Hmmm, interesting...

I definitely think it's his dad. I remember reading ages ago (in a q&a or something) that deku's dad was gonna come into the story.

blorbo posting incoming but maybe I should reread the Dabi chapters again bc ppl who justify everything the heroes do always bring up "He killed 30 innocent civilians" as a way to dismiss and validate his death and the only time we actually see him burn a large group of people, presumably what he was referring to when he himself called them "innocent people", were a group of villains who he thought werent worth the effort of trying to recruit into the league. and by their own justifications they should be totally cool with that, but since Dabi called them innocent they latch onto it while also calling him a liar about literally everything else hes ever said. so I need to see where these 30 innocent civilians come into play pre-war bc villian on villain violence and deaths have never seemed to bother anyone until Dabi said the ones he killed were innocent. I want to understand

Unless he killed 30 people during the fight against the meta liberation and conciders them "innocent" because they haven't done anything up to this point.
