Ive been systematically going through the criminal mind fics on Ao3 and of course ive been encountering a lot of cross-overs, most of them with pretty obvious correlations to criminal minds (e.g a show also about FBI agents) but what has me confused slightly is the common ship between Spencer Reid of criminal minds and Remy Lebeau of marvels X-men.

Ive seen loads of ships and crossovers of these two and I can’t seem to figure out how it emerged in the fandom and of course I love to look at how fandom develops and am interested in how this came about so if anyone has any knowledge or insight on this I’d love to know :]
