#OfJune
Owl City’s first EP, Of June, is 10 years old today! Happy birthday Of June!
#OfJune
August 29th is a special day, as it marks the tenth anniversary of Of June. This was the first Owl City album/EP that Adam made one weekend ten years ago while his parents were away. Since the fandom is known for celebrating, as evident with the we love Adam Young hashtag that was once trending on Twitter, or Hootowl Day in January, it would be nice to celebrate such an important album release. Maybe we could even get it trending on Twitter? The Owl City fandom has been dead for some time, and we’d love to show Adam that we still appreciate him. You could create art, edits, take photos, make music, or write a story based on Of June, or share how much it means to you. It doesn’t even have to be related to Of June, but just a way to share how much Owl City means to all of you. We could post it all under #OfJune! Please spread the word!
i just want a boyfriend that will bake a cake with me at 2am
#If Supernatural fandom has a gif for anything #then Owl City fandom has a tweet for anything
I’m from the middle of nowhere in Minnesota you see, so the ocean has always been a curiously dreamy, ethereal, almost romantic thing to me. Over the years I spent a great deal of time with my eyes closed, imagining myself having the most wonderful adventures by the seaside. Doing things one can only do in dusk and glow and midsummer dreams, as if the back of my closed eyelids were a silver screen and I was a sentimental projectionist with hundreds of fanciful reels at hand, all ready to roll. Thus is the reasoning behind the title. I hope with everything in me that you enjoy the sounds on this record. — Adam Young

Be very safe when you skateboard with football helmets on, so Adam’s gonna show us how to skateboard at the local junior high. x
Do a backflip, Adam.
reblog if you are proud of Adam and will support him no matter where he decides to go with his music
at what point in history do you think americans stopped having british accents
Actually, Americans still have the original British accent. We kept it over time and Britain didn’t. What we currently coin as a British accent developed in England during the 19th century among the upper class as a symbol of status. Historians often claim that Shakespeare sounds better in an American accent.
whAT THE FUCK
I’m too tired for this
Always add in the video that according to linguists, Native southern drawl is a slowed down British.
T’ be or not t’be, y’all.
Fun fact: Same thing happened with the French accent. French Canadians still have the original French accent from the 15th century.

I’ve been trying to find this post for months. I’m freakishly obsessed with this and want the truth of what early colonists sounded like.
