more thoughts about baby langston: like obviously langston hughes was a bard in his time and was probably a vox populi, because he wrote the power of new york into his poems to help empower his community and was a voice for his people, and naming this baby langston, again, is the tying of the past to the future in a profound way. 

baby langston is a dragon, a being whose power is explicitly tied to the past and the strength of legends and stories, but he was born with the power of dreams, the future and possibilities. he is named for the past, but as a baby is a literal symbol of the future and potential. he is a powerful individual, but was only raised up by his community and could only be born by the power of many (the citizens of new york and the three spirits and the dream team all coming together)
