My answers to the OC asks by @pinehill-stables for:
💐 Agnes Rosewood
🛩 Country of Origin: Agnes is portuguese - her real name is Inês Rosário; she moved to Jorvik after highschool hoping to enroll in Jorvik City University's criminology programme, but certain things ended up taking priority.
🛋 Home: Agnes originally started with attending the Jorvik Riding Camp in Moorland, after those three weeks ran out, she moved in with her sister at the latter's Jorvik City apartment (her sister is a model (and occasional assistant) for Anastasia Silverglade), since helping out the baroness rebuild her racetrack, however, she's been rewarded with her own room at the manor free of charge.
🐴 Horses: Agnes is the daughter of a riding school owner and a conservationist, so she's been around horses her whole life, she currently owns a few horses, starting with the first purchase she made with her own money, the Jorvik Warmblood - Ember Eclipse, a retired racing horse; all the way to her most recent rescue - a stripped appaloosa? Certainly unique, but surely he's just a normal horse.
👥 Relationships: Where do I even start? Well, Agnes seems to know everyone in west Jorvik at least a little, her first friends on the island were the current members of the Flying Foxes - Luciana, Sonja and Emma; Luciana in particular, as the girls bonded over their shared nationality and love of Lusitanos! Other than them, Agnes is closest with the Soul Riders, Alex and Lisa in particular as they share a similar outlook on life and love of music, respectively. Finally for now, Agnes has a littleeeee bit of a crush on Josh (totally just a little crush ;) )
🦋 Affiliations: As it happens, Agnes is some sort of reincarnated goddess??! The reincarnated goddess!! Yeah, so that's a thing, the Keepers have been helping her realise and accept this, though with no real tact, in her opinion, she much prefers the comraderie of her fellow Soul Riders and, of the Wild Whisperers, who all seem to have formed their own group apart from the Keepers, at least when it comes to Agnes and Justin confiding in either Gary or Rhiannon.
✨️ Powers: A lot of things became clear to Agnes upon landing in Jorvik, mainly the fact her knack for orienteering and finding things wasn't just luck or skill, she's just that attuned to nature, or at the very least, she's clairvoyant, even before awakening her attunement to the circles, there were things Agnes could do that fell outside of what is expected of humans.
🪄 Magic in general: Obviously Agnes is able to see all of the mystic things happening in Jorvik for what they are, especially since she's been involved in a few of them. The hardest part is hiding it from the people that shouldn't know, so far? It's SECRECY: II AGNES: 0, given how her sister was made aware almost immediately (the Pandoric bleed-through in Silverglade left Agnes bedridden enough that the Soul Riders felt the need to contact her sister and explain everything) and, Tan, who wasn't nearly as convinced her and the Bobcats' ordeal at Ydris' circus was a simple dream, something she confided only in Agnes.
🏆 Notoriety: Is she known across the WHOLE island? No. Is she known of, to some extent, if you narrow it down enough, around west Jorvik? Yeahhh, sure. Yeah, you could say so. Tell you what, GED sure hates to see Agnes coming.
👕 Fashion sense: Thanks to her sister, Agnes has a few high fashion pieces in her wardrobe, as well as some well taken care of riding suits, but her real love are polo shirts and wide brimmed hats, if she had to pick an aesthetic tho? Probably Romantic/Pastel Goth, some Old Money here and there. Oh! And Space cowgirl, you can thank Lisa for that one ദ്ദി(。•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊.
⛰️ Nature or Neon? A bit of both. Agnes loves trail riding, camping, hiking, always has, but even she can't do without a boba + thrifting trip or a monthly concert in the city.
🐾 Pets: The Baroness' cats seem to love Agnes, particularly a ragdoll momma cat Agnes named Azura.
🌻 Favorite thing to do on Jorvik: Too many to pick, besides giving anyone who needs it a helping hand, Agnes loves going to Epona to spend time with Madeleine and the wild horses, as well as, going around taking photos of the Jorvik sights (a lot of them to help the Jorvik Gazette with its photography page).
🌪 Traumas: They say you don't know fear until it chases after you, and that is certainly true of Agnes, if you asked her now, she'd tell you getting chased and shot at by Sabine in the frozen forest of Dino Valley wasn't that scary, or that Galloper Thompson and his realm are nothing compared Garnok's tentacles trying to pull you into the purple haze of Pandoria... if you asked her again after that, she'd say this: She's constantly paranoid something will just chase after her whenever she rides through places with bad visibility...
📚 Their story: In very general terms, Agnes' story on Jorvik starts with a girl going to spend her summer vacation in an island she's been dreaming of calling home for some time, even choosing Jorvikian as her foreign language class in highschool, so she could conciliate her dreams of being an investigator and not giving up horse riding to do it. But it all takes a turn when she decides to track down a stone she saw in a dream and just like that, she's learning she's the reincarnation of a goddess, the key to stopping a great calamity and, in the mean time, the newest recruit in the task force trying to keep two planes of existance from colliding into each other. And so, almost a year has passed, one million adventures have been lived, people have been rescued and evil plans have been stalled... all in time to enroll in college? Who knows...
my own conrad maarsden design (mostly blend of old + new)
i hate the new conrad sso design, they made him look so generic 😭😭😭 i literally dont get why they made the new design so much more,, conventionally attractive ? they shaved down all his facial features until he fit more into the safety of modern beauty standards
why does every character even need to be attractive when theyre updated? girl its a game for kids, let the characters look like normal people maybe ? its not that hard i promise
"And I was like: Nuh uh, I'm totally gonna win this one! And Tin Can said: Not with those clown shoes you aren't. So what?! I'm wearing jumping boots and I'm STILL faster than you."
"And then what?"
"And then... well... nothing. Agnes and Linda were ready to practise finally, so we went to do jump courses instead. But the next time I see 'im? I'm racing him across the island if that's what it takes!"
"Sounds like too many words and too little racing"
"Ok, says the trail horse. Step one to competition is making your opponent's psyche falter.
Ember Eclipse huffed and Cha'ac swished his tail, the two stallions were turned out to the manor's front pasture enjoying the fresh air and tasty grass, as he raised his head from taking a few bites, the retired racer noticed a purple butterfly flutter by, he followed it with his head, its patterned wings entranced him, and from their splotches, blotches and lines emerged a pattern - a face; colour graded in shades of purple, pink and black... It smiled, the sketchy lines made up the drawing of a young woman, though they trembled, the image was clear enough that Ember felt he'd seen that face before. That's when the sun popped out from behind the cloud it had been hiding in, blinding him trough the butterfly's wings, making him shake his head in pain, startling Cha'ac.
"You ok, lad?"
"Oww... yeah, just my eyes... shhh, that was bright"
"Don't look directly at the sun, nobody ever teach you that?"
"Wasn't looking, not at the sun"
Just then the butterly fluttered around Ember, coming to rest on his muzzle, it's colours still vivid, but no face in sight.
"Don't look to hard, you'll go cross-eyed."
"Shut up, dude. It had a face on it!"
"Looks quite common to me..."
Cha'ac extended his neck in Ember's face's direction, noting nothing strange about the flying insect.
"I know what I saw, dude."
And as if by evocation, Ember glimpsed the face again, only this time, the soft blowing breeze carried with it a name: Catherine.
"Woah! Did you hear that??"
"No...?"
"I swear something just whispered something!"
"Did you sleep well last night? You seem to be hallucinating..."
"Shut up, man."
"As you wish."
With this, Cha'ac left Ember to go trot around the pasture and lay in the shade, taking care to avoid Tyra and her hose, as the girl watered the flowers besides the fence.
- Hi boys! You doing ok out here?
Agnes was back from training, leading Starfall by her reins and waving cheerfully to her horses. Stopping to greet Tyra and ask about something out of earshot from the pasture. Then walking to the fence line and symbolically placing Starfall's rein on one of the posts (as if the gentle lipizzaner would ever stray far from her owner).
- Hi, Emby, what's gotten you so frazzled, boy?
"Do you know any Catherines??"
"What?"
"It's just-"
Ember recounted that morning's events to Agnes, who listened thoughtfully, slowly brushing the stallion's mane.
"Hmmm, it could be Catherine Moorland. Justin's mum, your first owner..."
"Wait what? I've only ever had one owner, Lars..."
"As an adult, yeah."
Agnes stopped brushing his mane to climb the fence and sit down on the top rail.
"But you were born in Moorland, one of the first horses born there, in fact. When Catherine died, Thomas leased you to Lars indefinitely, so as to not have to look after another of his wife's last reminders, the other... being Justin..."
"But, how come I forgot her?? I was fully self aware when I met Lars, I was like 3!"
"It's probably to do with the circles... I don't know, I've never asked, I didn't even think you'd have forgotten her."

Oh, the memories...

I'm really happy with how this turned out<33 I think it conveys the relationships between the riders really well but in a subtle way :D (Well, the relationships I've imagined them to have per my headcanons xd) Feel free to share how you think they got along at the time this picture was taken xDD
okay, seriously, all i want right now is magical realism set in the star stable universe, so i wrote down a few headcanons! you can’t tell me that the various magic users of jorvik only pop out the rituals and rune wands when they’re being threatened by a giant tentacle monster, so. here we go!
mrs. holdsworth stores extra potions in organized mason jars and hangs the glittery and flourescent ones in her cottage as decoration. she IS a witch and you can’t convince me otherwise.
speaking of which, mrs. holdsworth is also the unofficial groundskeeper of moorland stables and keeps the grass lush and flowers blooming with the help of magic, even when they’re constantly being trampled by horses and their riders.
whenever she has to travel long distances, anne skips the trains and planes and simply opens dimensional portals to travel from jorvik to different parts of the world. sun circle, bitch.
lisa often volunteers at animal shelters and hospitals, where the sick patients she visits frequently make miraculous recoveries. what’s the point of being able to use the star circle if she keeps her healing powers to herself?
linda learns how to pause time for brief periods with the moon circle so she can spend more time reading, researching, and sleeping. she can’t do it under duress, but it’s convenient when there’s not enough hours of the day to work at her job and complete soul rider duties.
as she’s technically a seer, linda learns to scry and sometimes offers readings and fortune tellings to jorvegians as a novelty at festivals. she’s not as mysterious as ydris so she doesn’t get a lot of customers, but her predictions, while vague, always come true in one way or another.
one of the reasons alex has learned to love the lightning circle is because she has a built-in lighter. need some extra light? done. need to light a candle or a cigarette? you got it. want to burn random shit and commit arson? alex is your girl.
after helping out jasper with his scarecrow issue, pi starts a business selling eco-friendly moving scarecrows to farmers. the harvests in jorvik have never been so plentiful (and pi is able to use the money to fix up the swamp!).
to continue on that note, the idea of witches in sso is unfortunately so unexplored...give me witch-druid rivalries, spells vs. the powers of the four circles. give me magical markets with potions and witches’ services for sale. give me both friendly and morally ambiguous witches who, like ydris, are neutral in the keepers of aideen/dark core conflict. witches in sso!
some magic users, particularly druids, have rune tattoos! these allow for body/power/ability-altering spells to perpetually affect the person in question. they can deplete stamina and sometimes cause pandorian sickness, though, since you’re infusing your body with pandorian rune magic. i just love the idea of magical folk covered in glowing violet rune tattoos.
just imagine black magic, blood magic, demonic summoning, and possession in the sso universe...i’m all for the idea of jorvik’s magical community coexisting peacefully, but with the amount of pandorians and witches potentially living in the country, you’re going to have some chaotic magic users with dubious morals. many pandorians aren’t able to cross over to the human world, so they often have to settle for possession...and many witches will do anything for jorvik shillings.
the very existence of jorvik wild horses is so cool to picture, too. imagine you’re going on a nice walk through hollow woods and you see a fucking horse made of birch bark. there’s so much crazy shit in jorvik that even for regular humans this kind of thing is commonplace.
if anyone has any more headcanons, feel free to add them on!
- small pandorian creatures that slipped into Jorvik through rifts that we didn't close fast enough just hiding in forest or water and adapting (just imagine a purple squirrel or sum chilling in Valedale that you can stop to talk to and they tell to you about how they like our nature and then they send regards to their blue friend that you surely know)
- pointing at pandoric rifts/portals/stuff and asking random jorvegians (jorvikians?) what it is. You always hear a different and personalized myths, stories and explanations - most of them completely wrong
- Cowboy witches. Nothing to add here. Just. Make it happen. Please.
The Effects of Forceful Entrapment on Lisa, Linda, and Anne (AU NOT CANON, SOFT SPOILERS FOR CANON MAIN STORY)
Basically what the title says. I thought that it was quite weird to have the girls coming out of being trapped in places for long periods of time as just an "inconvenience" to them and the others. Like, take Anne for instance. Pandoria is harsh on the body and mind, yet she doesn't harbor any signs of Pandoria's effects on her mind for longer than two storylines. Linda was trapped in the castle for a hot minute in the canon, but she comes out and just says "woah that's a bright light." Lisa comes out of Pandoria perfectly fine and saves us from Sabine. Isn't it a bit strange how they don't suffer? Call me morbid, but make them have a bit more suffering.
Anyways, I've divided this into sections of each girl and the story leading up. I've thrown in Alex as a bonus because she was the one who was working her ass off in traveling. Remember, read the title!! This has to do with my own Star Stable AU/ Rewrite and only takes baselines from canon!!
Alex is already struggling with keeping up, as well as having the pressure from her mother to see her again and help. When Anne goes missing, she becomes concerned and volunteers to travel to France to try and see if Anne has dropped out or is in danger. She receives the money from Lisa's tour as Lisa is trying to get home as quickly as she can to help, but money is the only thing she could help with.
In France, Alex finds mere traces of blood and Pandoric matter. She spends 2 weeks there and using every day to go in circles with where Anne could of been. She's desperate. When her time is up and she needs to fly back, she sobs as she feels like she could of found more. In reality, she can't.
Once back home, she tells the news to Elizabeth and spirals with her, telling the fears that Anne is dead with Concorde, or Anne broke from the stress and left without telling anyone. Elizabeth attempts to assure her, but her words don't block the sleepless nights that Alex spends afterwards.
When Lisa disappears a month or two after, Alex is in the depths of struggling to cope with all of this new work that the druids are trying to do. She is upset about the fact that Lisa was supposed to be home that morning, yet she didn't even get a chance to hug her in time.
Alex is running around across Jorvik with Elizabeth covering around Jorvik City. She is desperate to find clues about Lisa. She is begging Aideen that this isn't the end for all four of them together.
She spends some time with phone calls to Linda or Elizabeth, even Avalon, just sobbing to them that she couldn't find anything again. She picks up weed again after years without it, trying to find some relief in the stress waves that she is having.
When Linda disappears 3 months after Lisa, Alex feels like her life is crashing down onto her and if she only did something, she could of prevented it. She gets little sleep after this, spending midnight at the Manor, trying to find anything. She scrolls through phone calls, texts, anything that she could track, but she finds nothing.
The druids are going into a panic mode, leaving little time for Alex to try and say anything more than what she has discovered. Alex contemplates leaving her life behind as well and that it was for the best. She is in a depression far worse than she has ever had and she feels like it is blocking her in.
She is then thrown into trying to find the Light Ceremony book as it gets taken. Elizabeth informs her another time that she thinks she spotted Nimbus around Goldenhills again. Alex is overwhelmed and stressed with every new mission.
Its like she goes through the five stages of grief within 6 months, but never accepting it. She becomes angry with herself, angry at the world around her. Deep down, she feels like this will be like the fallen sisterhood of the past.
When Anne disappears, Linda attempts to help around with trying to decipher anything she could find. The Keepers are lacking as most of them have been less busy due to the lack of threats around Jorvik. Avalon is having Linda help with anything she can manage, but its weighing on her. She's upset about the fact that Anne has gone missing again, but she fears that any sign of stopping will just make her a target too.
When Lisa disappears, she is starting to crack with the amount of Moon magic she has been using, almost stressing herself out to induce visions that could be truth. Her knowledge is burning her out, and Avalon senses it. After working on things for this long period of time, she is told to take a break and stay at the Manor.
She decides to keep her mind busy with increasing her work with the Baroness. She keeps in contact with everyone and tries to think of any solutions to help out. She is breaking down from stress and the fact that her friends are gone, something that she wished never happened.
After finding out things about the Baroness during her work, she spends time researching about it. She feels like if she confirms that this is Sands, maybe they will further the knowledge of him and be able to somehow help the girls if it was his fault. She notices that the Baroness becomes more reserved, less willing to talk to Linda, even snappy at any questions. Soon, she is agitated due to the influence of Sabine and finally acts on the darkness in her mind.
Linda is taken during the night by Sabine and Meteor is put in a Pandoric crack in the Goldenhills area. Linda spends about 3 weeks to a month trapped in the Silverglade Castle, 2 of those weeks spent wandering around in the dust and grime as well as crying and begging to be let out. Her hair begins to frizz and becomes a mess. Her clothes rip intentionally and unintentionally to try and help her bandage cuts and wounds.
She is given rations by the Baroness, but her visits become less frequent and overtaken by Sabine. Sabine worsens any sort of weakness she has with her lack of a full meal. She could survive, but it was not enough most of the time. After her multiple attempts to escape, she is thrown into the cellar to lessen her chances of coming out alive.
Linda attempts to escape from the cellar as well, but it is put to a stop by Sabine who cuts behind her ankles, making it too painful for her to move. Her rations slowly decrease in the week leading to her rescue. She is weakening and having more delusional visions that tell her full lies. She struggles to even cry or beg and begins to pray for a fast death.
Alex and Dalka are eventually able to break into the castle after confirming her location. They wander around until they find Linda, barely able to keep her eyes open and alert. The two of them struggle with her as Linda tries to tell them her visions in broken up words and breaths. Both of them take her to Valedale, where she receives care and treatment.
She spends a week mostly getting back strength with food. Her ankles still hurt to walk on, but she is trying her best. Her back scratches from Sabine stay a deep red that burns for a week but the inflammation goes down as she is getting out of extreme sickness. She continues to try and do anything she can, but she is also worried for Meteor, who wasn't seen anywhere near her.
Meteor was trapped and taken into Pandoria by Sabine that same night. Despite going into Pandoria around the Manor area, he wandered to Goldenhills Valley where he saw a green crack in the realm. A strange light guided him out. He found himself waking up on Jorvik, in the upper mountains of Goldenhills Forest. He stayed confused and wandered around, until he settled in the lower part of the forest. He didn't know what he was looking for, what happened, but he knew that he felt empty. He wandered for 2 weeks on his own, getting out first before Linda.
After a lead came in from one of the Druids, they were able to locate Meteor's location, but couldn't quite catch him. He was fearful of being touched by someone he felt wasn't quite right. Elizabeth asks that Dalka takes Linda down to see if they could get Meteor to follow them back to Valedale. And so they did.
Meteor was hesitant at first, but saw Dalka and Niamh (the starter horse) as that familiar light. He felt the other half of the moon click for him when he was touched by Linda. He stayed confused for a day or two, but influence by the magic of Valedale slowly started to heal his mind. He has a few markings around his legs where Pandoric plants have scratched him, but he is doing far better than Linda.
Lisa postponed the last half of the rock band tour with the crew from Star Academy due to the concerns of Anne. When she came home, she took some time to do a late night ride before she would be working with the other girls in the morning. However, she was ambushed as well, by Jay and Sabine, and thrown into Pandoria. Starshine put up more of a fight in trying to get out of Pandoria, which led him to get loose and escape back to Jorvik. When he returned to Jorvik, he was in Devil's Gap, confused, but knowing his rider was missing.
Lisa wandered through Pandoria after a failed attempt of containment by Jay and Sabine. She gained countless small wounds, some bigger than others, but notably was almost grabbed by Shadow Seekers who spoke lies and deception. Her wound on her back from Sabine's multiple grabs began to get infected by the Pandoric matter around her. She couldn't stop it, no matter what.
Time was weird for Lisa. She couldn't figure out how long it was. She thought it had already been 3 years since she had left Jorvik, but it was in fact only 3-4 months. She began to forget her friends and their companions, as well as some other memories. The only ones that lingered were her darkest times and how she got there.
She came into contact with roots from the Sleeping Widow, right around where she was in Jorvik, but flipped. She desperately begged the tree for a chance at escape and said that she'd even do anything to repay. The tree agreed and Lisa stayed around the area.
When a crack formed on Jorvik, Lisa used that chance to call out to anyone. Starshine and Dalka were on the other line and listened to her. She screamed and cried to them, telling them that the Sleeping Widow will free her from this nightmare. Her connection was cut as she was forced to move by Jay moving over as one of their forms of a shadow and attempting to corner her.
Once out by the Sleeping Widow, she was given a small percent of power that lingered on to at least give her strength to get into the realm of Jorvik again. She used that to fend off Sabine, after she was out for blood and to stop the saving from happening. After, she began to get weaker. Her skin felt like it was going to rip off of her. Her back burned in pain, almost feeling like she was being branded by Pandoria itself. Her head was already spinning, but she was attempting to stay conscious. She feels ill and feels haunted by the Shadows still.
Starshine had broken out of his daze after finding Lisa. He had been able to heal himself for some strength near a runestone, but he was mainly using it to keep the crack open as Dalka got help. He was Lisa's support as she was not very comfortable with walking.
Her recovery time was a bit rough, suffering from nightmares for the next 3 weeks after. She was able to gain her magic back to full strength around 2 weeks, despite using some for the Sleeping Widow repayment. Her back itches around the scarring and it still sometimes burns in contact with high amounts of energy. It contains still bits and pieces of Pandoric energy in it, making it unable to fully close up and heal normally. Her mental state stays frazzled for a few days and doesn't fully put back in the whole story until a week and a half. Her memories do return to her, but the worst ones are less buried.
After winning the second to last dressage competition in France, Anne took a chance to go out with Concorde and let him run around in some of the fields. The fun didn't last long and Concorde was struck by multiple shadows that looked like Jay. Anne ran over to him and ended up in Pandoria as well.
Concorde fought through transport across the crossing planes into Pandoria from France, as Pandoria is the direct upside down copy of Jorvik, gaining multiple slashes and bleeding wounds as he was taken. However, he was weakening as he was being taken, eventually dying when he was switching into Pandoria's realm.
Jay did not care what happened to him, simply discarding his soul in the realm to lay and eventually fade away. They mostly cared about the death of Anne von Blyssen, if that could even happen.
In the crossing realm, Anne didn't remember much of being transported by another one of Jay's shadows. She just remember awakening in Pandoria and then being dragged to keep going. She attempted to escape multiple times, but was met with reinforcement from Sabine as the Shadow of Jay can only do so much restraining. Her face was cut open, after she tried to turn her head to slam into one of them. She was in a lot of pain as it crystalized on her face.
She was taken into a "holding cell" in the realm to contain her until measures of awakening the Dark Sun could commence. Every day, she was taunted by Jay, telling her that she will die in Pandoria like the rest of the girls. Anne's mind spiraled multiple times into thinking that she was really alone and that no one would find her. She felt like time was passing too slow and too fast at the same time.
Experiments on her began before Lisa could be saved. Anne let out a few messages to anyone could hear as she was forced to connect to the Pandorian Sun that burned her without her other half. A message to Lisa was able to get through that Anne was there.
After Lisa was rescued, security measures were taken to transport Anne over to a holding crystal instead. She had already worn herself out, crying, screaming, and taking beatings for a while, until she finally gave up in the crystal. She felt like her body was an experiment for Dark Core to take over and eventually discard after she was sucked of all her sunlight. Her blood was already starting to crystalize into Pandoric matter, as well as her tears now stinging her every time she would cry.
After 6 months of being in Pandoria, she was rescued. Once out of the crystal, her body just fell out, unable to move with purpose. She muttered things that didn't make sense, some words being Sun and Garnok, others being gibberish. She was taken back into Jorvik and began to form better thoughts and words. She realized that a small filly was taking to her, but she didn't know why.
When Elizabeth died, she was not mentally aware of anything going on around her. After she was able to find some memory, they informed her of both Elizabeth's demise and Concorde's demise. Her mind changed and Pandoric's influence heightened her emotions. She freaked out, grabbing Dalka and attempting to choke her. Alex had to intervene as well as other druids as Anne completely lost it.
She was taken into the Druid Prison for holding until she could calm down. Her mind was rocking between extreme emotions and a blank slate. She attempted to harm herself multiple times, but was always forced to stop by anyone around her. She was angry and wanted to kill herself or someone for what happened to both Elizabeth and Concorde.
Concorde's soul in the small filly was trapped in his adult mind, but with the shell of a young filly. She did not know any better and could not express it. As Concorde matured, his mind merged into the filly's other half, giving more meaning. The filly was scared and confused about why Anne rejected her, but the older Concorde was mourning his own body and attempting to help calm the filly to know that this was the other half of her Sun. She will eventually mend her broken pieces, but until then, the filly would not be acknowledged as her Concorde.
Anne eventually stabilizes as time goes on, but she has moments where she feels out of control again. She became more quiet and reserved after this. Her nightmares continue to taunt her. Her skin still burns and she sometimes still cries the matter of Pandoria. She is trying to heal her soul, but Elizabeth still haunts her mind.
And that's that! It's a lot, but it's worth the context. Pandoria sickness needs to be explored more in Star Stable and I wish they took that chance before Anne was nice again. Anyways, thank you for reading!
This is all apart of my AU/Rewrite in the timeline stage of formatting.
Dalka is the MC/ OC in replacement for the MC. Niamh is the MC's horse/ OC's horse in replacement for the MC's horse.
everyday I’m thinking about the soul riders and their lives once they’re grown up. do their childhoods feel like a bad dream. do they share an apartment. does one of them quit riding. do they apply to uni. are they in therapy
twenty two years old, maybe they find some gray hairs
is the magic something they want to leave or does it enclose their lives forever. because now that elizabeth’s gone I think Very Very Differently about the path the girls have taken
remember when I said I was going to share the rest of my notes on the first soul rider trilogy with ya'all?
WELL HERE THEY ARE
(these are purely book base notes I personally deemed important be it character descriptions, magic explanations, personality traits or just random facts I wanted written down for myself) if something isn't mentioned about XYZ I either didn't deem it that important or more likely it wasn't mentioned in there
What's your favourite lore tidbit from the Legacy/Seasons games and would you like to see it in SSO?
thank you, i am trying my best to keep my anxieties in check, but it's proving difficult :')
as for your question, probably what's got to do with where garnok came from, y'know, the story that anne learns while visiting pandoria! something else that caught my eye on my most recent play-through, though, was how fripp said him and his company chose the soul riders, and his (and his companions') powers are actually the ones transferred down to the soul riders. i thought it was a cool detail that i had somehow previously missed.
i would definitely love to see more on garnok in sso, for me, the vala witches et cetera feel like a delay in the story, and lore issues keep popping up, something that i wouldn't necessarily explore in my re-telling of the story. not to sound like a broken record, but i really miss the mysterious, yet somewhat realistic and intriguing sci-fi storytelling of starshine legacy. as much as i love medieval fiction, i tend to view the new content more in the style of au than as any kind of significant lore revision :D
I never knew the Fripp part! (Nor what it means by him and "his company", does he mean the druids? Or other beings of his realm (or planet, wasn't the lore back then that the Dark Riders, Garnok, Aideen etc are actually aliens? I remember reading that somwhere)?
And I'm right there with you, I love that the old lore was more sci-fi and less DnD (though that is still cool ofc) I think SSE could really hit the target with a good mix, something like, Pandoria/Main Story - SciFi/Eldritch, Jorvik - Medieval/Fantasy.
Really hammer home that whatever meddling/intertwining the Main Story has had with Jorvik, the island holds its own deep/dark secrets too.
apologies for the awkward translation, i don't think i've ever played starshine legacy in english, so i'm not certain of the term that he uses instead of company (but i think he meant others like him, other guards of garnok from his planet! also makes me sad we never met the others in any of the games)
that was the ssl lore, yes (though aideen, i think, was first name-dropped in star stable online, correct me if i'm wrong) and to be fair, i'm not sure what the current state of these plot points are, since there is plenty of contradicting info the true nature of the dark riders too. some kind of overview of that context would be nice to have as we take on new tasks.
i am definitely curious to learn more. at this point, the lore requires some tidying up and pruning to work, but hey, it’s alive and well in our hearts :D
Definetly! :) I think I've seen people on here writing down the lore of the Star Stable games, I myself have plenty of screenshots of the quests, but even having just started playing (in april 2024) I know that some quests have already been changed.
And as I learned more about the older games, the dissonance between their story and SSO's was bigggg (and it made kinda sad to not have experienced 2010s SSO tbh :,,,) )
But one thing I wouldn't trade for the world is the little Jorvik quests we've got, like the Epona and Mr. Anwir mystery, GED, the Wildwoods (even though the tie in with the webseries could've been better (and the damn fire JWH shouldn't be in FORT PINTA >:( )
But yeah, I'd say there's things I'd definetly change, might try a crack at it when school's out.
