kinda desperate for groceries for the week. I'd really appreciate if someone could toss me a few bucks so I can snag like, milk, butter, bread, a box of pasta or two, and maybe a thing of taquitos and sour cream? a case of root beer? some cereal? I don't get money for a little while so I'm kinda anxious about having very uh....little. in my cupboards right now.
I'm out at the doctor today and I haven't eaten. I got physical therapy today and I really want to be able to eat something before I gotta go do that. Can I get some reblogs or a couple bucks??
sense of agency is a skill truly........ it takes work convincing yourself that you have to make moves if you dont want life to spontaneously happen to you instead of having some saying in what happens in it and if you have self destructive tendencies on top of that, it takes trust in yourself to almost blindly believe that it actually matters that you have power over your own life
you must love the Black trans woman you think is weird. who doesnt act like you think she otta. who talks rude or clueless or just kinda odd. you must give support and understanding and space for the Black trans woman to be messy and desperate and not be the picture model of strength and beauty. and above all you must keep her alive at all costs. you must never cast her out and leave her to die. even if you think shes weird.
this woman was the PRIME example of showing up for the most vulnerable of us with humility, respect, and compassion.
her videos of her caring for houseless people inspired me to keep caring especially during the times when i felt burnt out bc it felt like no one else see the urgency or worthiness of helping ppl just bc i dont like seeing them suffer. she made the invisible feel and BE seen with her platform. she went viral many times for the effort and commitment she put into just being a good human to others. majority of the time on her own, too.
this Black woman will always be a legend to me. she embodied every bit of her IG name.

"I am a researcher who studies the intersection of data governance, digital technologies and the U.S. federal government. The hard truth for anyone filming law enforcement today is that the same technologies that can hold the state accountable can also make ordinary people more visible to the state.
Recording is often protected speech. But recording, and especially sharing, creates data that can be searched, linked, purchased and reused.

"What happened next showed me what they’re up to—and persuaded me to double down."
We didn’t understand why we were being taken in—until we did.
A freezing night is approaching... Please don't leave us alone.
"I am writing these words as the sound of the wind begins to rise outside, and with every gust, my anxiety grows. The weather forecast warns of a severe storm hitting in the coming hours and continuing through tomorrow. I look at my children, who are unaware of the harshness that awaits us.
All I want as a parent is to provide them with a warm corner to shield them from the biting cold, but my resources are fading in the face of this winter’s cruelty. We are in desperate need of your support now—not next week, but for tonight and tomorrow.
Any donation, no matter how small, means an extra blanket, a way to heat our shelter, or food to keep their little bodies warm.
Please, do not scroll past this post. Help me protect my little ones."
Last night, I stayed awake pressing a piece of cloth against my sister’s wound as blood soaked through again and again, listening to her breathing slow while fear filled the room. I will not forgive anyone who scrolls past and keeps browsing without even sharing my post.
My sister urgently needs medicine and care I cannot afford. Time is running out, and every delay makes her condition worse. Please donate now—your help could stop her bleeding and save her life.
I am a sister begging the world to notice before it’s too late. Do not let her be lost to silence. A share, a prayer, or a donation today can give her another chance to live.
My wife may die now because her condition is rapidly worsening, and she suffers from severe breathing difficulties especially at night Doctors say she urgently needs treatment and medical intervention but I cannot afford any of it
I will not forgive anyone who scrolls past this plea and keeps browsing as if nothing is happening.
Doctors say my wife needs urgent treatment and surgery, and I cannot afford any of it. Every minute without help pushes her one step closer to death.
Please donate now — your support could save her life.
I am a husband screaming into the silence, begging strangers to care. Do not let my wife become another number. Share her story, donate now, and help give her a chance to live.
This is one of the comics I drew about Rawan’s life to draw attention to her campaign.
Life in Gaza is getting more uncertain as more and more sources say a ground invasion is imminent. The consequence is that prices are soaring again. No one is really sure what to believe right now, but regardless, it has an impact on their lives.
In the midst of this, Rawan tries to keep on living. Her skin condition is getting worse again, so she’ll go back to the doctor tomorrow if the weather allows it. Her older brother has started physical therapy to recover after the missile strike. All of that costs money, unfortunately.
Rawan is trying to get her engineering degree, and her only option is to spend her days in a café for a good internet connection, which costs her $50 a day. On top of that, she and her mother really want to get her youngest siblings (5 and 15) in school (meaning classes in a tent), but the price would be $100 a month each. Her sister never got to start school and her brother had to stop because of the war, even though he was very studious.
Please pitch in to support them if you can. Even $5 goes a long way and just sharing these posts helps a ton too 🙏
