I feel like a lot of people don’t want to ask questions they have about gender/sexuality to LGBT people because they don’t want to offend them because we talk about cishet people asking stupid or intrusive questions a lot

But actually when you’re questioning it’s really helpful to be able to ask some ‘stupid’ questions although you’re too afraid to

Just One Cookbook: recipe site that centers on Japanese cuisine. Lots of different recipes to browse, plenty of inspiration so you’re not just “ramen and sushi” 

This comparing heights page: gives you a visual on height differences between characters

A page on the colors of bruises+healing stages: well just that. there you go. describe your bruises properly

McCormick Science Institute: yes this is a real thing. the site shows off research on spices and gives the history on them. be historically accurate or just indulge in mindless fascination. boost your restaurant au with it

A Glossary of Astronomy Terms: to pepper in that sweet terminology for your astrophysics major college au needs

Cocktail Flow: a site with a variety of cocktails that’s pretty easy to navigate and offers photos of the drinks. You can sort by themes, strengths, type and base. My only real annoyance with this site is that the drinks are sometimes sorted into ~masculine~ and ~feminine~ but ehhhh. It’s great otherwise.

Tie-A-Tie: a site centered around ties, obviously. I stumbled upon it while researching tie fabrics but there’s a lot more to look at. It offers insight into dress code for events, tells you how to tie your ties, and has a section on the often forgotten about tie accessories

happy 1 year anniversary to this post and happy 20 year anniversary to me

A group of whumpees are kidnapped, maybe tortured a little, all held in one big cell and then put against each other in a fight. One of them, Whumpee A, is older, stronger, more intimidating and more distant than the rest. They don’t talk to any of the others. Not often, anyways.

Then, Whumpee A is put against Whumpee B. B is weaker, younger and quieter than A. When the two are told to fight, A looks B up and down, turns to Whumper (or the whumpers. Could be multiple!) and says “No.”

B is then led back to the cell, full of horror and surprise as A is dragged away to be punished for their defiance.

Characters who have dignity are honestly the best. Like not even *stoic characters*, I just mean ones who don't tend to get emotional often, who don't scare easily, who are very hard to break into tears, who are usually either pleasantly cheerful or just calm, and you know if they were to have an emotional outburst they would Not let it happen in front of people. Those characters are ...how do I say it...really really fun to imagine screaming in pain

Idk why, but I just love the thought of a kidnapped whumpee being able to roam whumper's house. Just the whole concept puts them on another level of powerlessness, especially if they've been kept in the basement up to this point. Knowing that a tiny mistake could get them sent back down again, not knowing if they're allowed in certain rooms so avoiding them, having access to escape points but convincing themselves that it's too easy and obviously a trap, not knowing if whumper has security cameras up and is watching them the whole time. Almost wishing they were back down there because at least it was familiar.

I may or may not have spent 5 dollars to watch an entire TV show simply because of this gif set. More accurately to watch their interaction on screen. I am sad to say that the long haired guy only shows up every other episode but his on screen time is so good and he is honestly adorable. Plus the show has a very satisfying ending in my humble but perfect opinion.
