Me and my cousin have an ongoing bit where we pretend we made "slightly better" versions of things where we'll be like.
"That was a pretty good movie, but not as good as my movie, House of 1001 Corpses," or "I guess this song is okay. Kind of reminds me of a song I'm working on called 'Faster Car'."
Never once has it been funny or made anyone but us laugh.
This reminds me of a joke I have with two of my cousins
I didn't realize that this was about Project Hail Mary at first I just accepted that this was Ryan Gosling's fault and we have to kill him
People have written a lot of touchy-feely pieces on this subject but I thought Iād get right to the heart of the matter
[The artist, putting a simple cake next to a much fancier one: āAw man, that guyās cake is way better than mine.ā The Audience, gleefully holding up a knife and fork āHOLY SHIT! TWO CAKES!ā]

āHoly shit two cakes,ā I mutter to myself as I do fucking anything these days, this post was a godsend
I know itās not July yet, but guys, happy 10 years of ātwo cakesā. This post on god has been a godsend not only as a writer myself but as a friend of artists and writers who I love to encourage. This was legitimately a game-changer.
OP thank you so much for this.
My little brother got a copy of the art of war by sun tzu for Christmas and I'll never know peace again
He flipped it open and said "let me read you the introduction: (record scratch) Yep, that's me. I bet you're wondering how I ended up in this situation-"
He keeps opening it and pretending to read quotes that are definitely not from the art of war he just hit me with "was that the bite of '87??? Sun Tzu said that."
horror movie showing a childās drawing of the monster or ghost or whatever but instead of a little kid and crayons theyāre like a preteen and itās manga style

knowing how it tends to go with male authors and their wives it was probably marge who wrote the odyssey
This is especially frustrating because the only reason we know the wind speed is because NOAA's Hurricane Hunters literally fly into the hurricane and collect vital data. They fly in and out of the storm over and over in 8 hour shifts.
This brave team flies two identical Lockheed P3s called Kermit and Miss Piggy.
You can see the dangling ornaments in the videos to determine which plane they are in.
And when I say they fly into the hurricane, I mean they fly *into* the hurricane.
Here they are in the eye of Milton.
And here they are in the eye of Irma.
As you may notice, this flight was in Kermit.
So the next time you see live data about a hurricane's wind speed and pressure, just remember how that was collected and don't be a giant turd about it.
And please vote because conservatives want to kill NOAA.
This is serious But I also just want everyone to know that Kermit and Miss Piggy have retro-style nose artwork of the characters:
I was so enamored with the ornaments. I didn't think to check for nose art. Thanks for adding this!
āi should take a walk for my mental healthā boring, tired, i donāt even really wanna do it tbh
āi need to check the perimeterā i need to check the perimeter
Lament of Icarus
3 long months of toiling on and off on this Neoclassicist master study by the majestic Herbert James Draper. Have always wanted to make this tribute piece ever since Icarus was announced but was derailed by a roller coaster of life and emotions up until this year. Then, I visited Monet's exhibition and it reminded me why I love and found art fascinating in the first place. Still dk if it's worth the amount of time spent lmfao but I can say I'm very satisfied with how it turn out. Learnt a couple things from him heh.
Also before any jokers decide to come at me - yes he's pale in the game but logic says you don't stay pale going so close to the damn sun
??????
Inclusive language is for everyone!!
Their boyfriend is their partner why is this hard to understand
Also, āpartnerā is just a good word? It implies an equal relationship where both of your work together in pursuit of something, whether that be life goals or just having fun together.
Itās a good word. People should use it more.
You could also be a pair of detectives. Or work in a lawfirm. Very useful word.
Need one more to unlock the door
There is a great deal of truth there. Sometimes special moments happen purely by accident. But most of them happen because you make a plan and create the conditions to let them happen.
That does happen š
