the thing that gets me about sid’s superstitions is that like,,, most of them aren’t actually superstitions. like it’s not something where he thinks “if i don’t do this in this way i won’t perform well,” from what i’ve seen with most of his little routines it’s more like he’s saying “if i do everything the exact same way then i don’t have to wonder if something messed me up, so i’m 100% responsible for how i played” and that is a very oddly noble approach to superstitions? idk he’s so interesting to me
