So, I'm making a TMA inspired board game and that's how it's going so far. I have done the card motives. To do - 156 full cards, the board and 15 hand carved pawns. At this rate I'm gonna be finnishing this in my grave. At least I already wrote the rules.

I like to think that Elias just loves grand weadings, but Peter straight up hates them so often the engagemnt would get called off because of them fighting about it. They eventualy decide to do 1 big and 1 small alternately, because they both know that even if this is their 23'th weding there will be another one
I wrote a fic where Simon not only officiates one wedding but every wedding they have, and throws any competing officiator into the VAST.

Set in some small town in the woods (US cuz it suites best) - probably Appalachia
Jon is the one that drags them into danger because of his curiosity (Sasha is not helping)
Jon also carries an axe for self defence (or two even), Sasha has pocket knives (to many to not be suspicious), Tim has firecrackers, a can of deodorant and a lighter (because ofc) and Martin has a gun (no one knows where from, but they don't ask)

For me Sasha is the type with these realy pretty pocket knives, like you almost don't suspect her to know how to use them and then - bam! - you get stabbed in the shins or something.
Sasha also has a collection of bones she found in the woods (some look human)
She has made herself jewelery out of the teeth she found/pulled out of the things they hunted down. Her favourite is a necklace she wears all the time, but she also has earings. When she is lucky she manages to make herself a full set out of the same creature. She also makes some for the others

Tim is a cerified pyromaniac - he just loves to set shit on fire. The only reason no one knows and he hasn't been arrested for setting fire to the shool (twice) is his ability to sweet talk himself out of any situation. He uses it often.

Jon is just ferral, and it's visible. He doesn't even hide the axe. Has a custom belt to carry it or smth - And it's not even a short axe, like the throwing ones, it's one you can cut down a tree with.
Jon has like a notebook (think the journals from Gravitty Falls) where he has all the info they get about everything, and on the first page is a checklist of what they want to find (it's long).
At the end of it there is a glued in envelope titeled "corpse log" covered with those prison style countdown stripes marking the amount they found. In the envelope there are dozens of polaroid pictures of corpses they found with dates, locations and sometimes - if recognisible - names. Jon carries one of those cameras that develop photos instantly just for that reason, because the creatures in the notebooks are mostly drawn.

Whenever a new creature starts to cause havoc Martin only cares about the animals that die because of it, and doesn't give a shit when it is humans - Honetly, all of them are kinda the same in this matter
They once saved an organge cat for being eaten by some skinwalker. Jon takes it home and names The Admiral He sometimes joins them on their escapades

The gang have a treehouse-watchtower in the woods, near the wendigo hotspot. They sometimes do sleepovers there, watching everythig around with night vision goggles and binoculars (edytowane)
They have a giant map of the area pinned to the wall, covered with red string and adnotations about freequent singhting spots

The thing about the town they live in, is that all citizens know something is up and there are supernatural things going on, but no one knows what or where. There is just something sinnister in the air, strange sounds come from the woods and all the shadows seem to long, but no one talks about it. Everyone just prays it won't be them, that falls victim during the night, and pretend everything is fine during the day.

I think the plot of a fic - if I were to make one of of this - would start with a string of murders that they can't pinpoint to a specific creature
I would eighter find a very unnown one, make an original one, or make it a cult or smth (or maybe just a human - they are the worse monsters after all)

Also, the reason Jon and the crew can roam the woods is because they are all neglacted. Jon and the grandmother that despised his existence, Martin with his mother, Tim is the older brother, and not the favourite one and Sasha is a kid of parents that should have divorced and spend all their time in work anyway.

I headcannon that Jonny D'Ville was Martin's gay awakening.
In a better world, where Sasha didn't die, and everything didn't go to shit, i think Tim would love Jons spooky google and use it to win trivia nights at bars until they got banned, Sasha and Martin betting on how long that takes in the background

Cut to another table and it's Elias, Peter and Simon on a night out. Elias'es eye is twitching. He can't do shit because it's the last bar HE is not banned from for the same thing
People at the bars are so fed up. Most of them have a sign that says "No Magnus Institute employes" on the front dor (it doesn't stop them from going undercover)

No but on this note, i like to imagine that the whole institute has a betting pool on how long they will stay married this time.
(And I bet Simon officiated at least one of their weddings)
I headcanon that Jon realy wanted to be included in things that Tim, Martin and Sasha were doing together in s1, but he thought that them inviting him for outings was simply courtesy, and they realy didn't want him there, and so he decided not to push them, becasuse it may result in them not wanting to pretend anymore that they liked him, and he wanted to lie to himself that they were genuine. So when they invited him for drinks on Christmas he declined, went home and spend the night alone, not even celebrating anything, beacuse what was the point if he had no one to celebrate with. Meanwhile the asistants thought he disliked them so much now that he wouldnt go out with them even of Christian Eve. Tim blaimed himself for being to pushy with him, Martin thought Jon didn't go out with them because of him and he ruined Tims and Sashas Christmas, and Sasha blamed herself for not being able to resolve the tension in the archives like the terapist friend she is. It was the last Christmas they were all alive
I love headcanoning that Simon just adopts every vast avatar he meets, but he fails to adopt Mike because Mike doesn't want him to, but he just gives him a trust fund anyway, i just like imagining Mike getting invites to Fairchild family events/reunions and just screaming into the void, because no, he is not a Fairchild damit, but Simon drags him along anyways like: yes, yes you are despite his protests.
I just really like Mike and want to see him get some love whether he wants it or not.

I love tormenting Elias, but I have this flaw, that I actualy like the bastard so I rarely kill him off. Instead I make him increasingly confused and/or scared and/or humiliated.

1) is the og archives team going back in time after the eyepokalipse to before working at the Institute and fuck shit up in Gertrude times (Gerry lives because I love him) - plot twist Elias came back too
2) it's Jon and Daisy in s1, and Jon esencialy gets the section 31 to do his bidding (the rest of the spooky comunity panics). Even better -Elias has no idea
I love making Elias oblivious to the shit going on. Even better when other avatars know.

I think that those ideas can be both serious and crack fics so I often do variants.
I have one scene in particular from the 2 one and it's the prentiss incident.
Jon obliterates her (eighter with mortal means or smites) and the section rolls up Everyone from the Institute is outside because evacuation, including Elias (and Peter and Simon because reasons (crack reasons)) and Jon goes straight up to Daisy (and some of my plot needed oc's) and goes "It's not my fault, she started it"
