Philip K. Dick just became my favourite author
To put it another way, pain is Godâs megaphone to rouse a deaf world. Why must it be pain? Why canât he rouse us more gently, with violins or laughter? Because the dream from which we must be wakened, is the dream that all is well.
William Nicholson, Shadowlands (via feellng)
"Today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups... So I ask, in my writing, What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it. And it is an astonishing power: that of creating whole universes, universes of the mind. I ought to know. I do the same thing."

Even though I'm Team Bucky I still love both Tony Stark and RDJ. This is my painting of Tony's broken spirit.. Steve: âSorry Tony. You know I wouldnât do this if I had any other choice. But heâs my friend.â Tony: âSo was I.â Just a little bit more till Civil War!
We're so busy surviving that we forget how to live
It comes a day when all you do is wonder. And when that day comes there will be two possibilities: either you'll be lost or you'll have had find yourself. And there is me, who started to find myself when I was so lost that I couldn't breathe.
WOW!!
This computer-simulated image shows a supermassive black hole at the core of a galaxy. The black region in the center represents the black holeâs event horizon, where no light can escape the massive objectâs gravitational grip. The black holeâs powerful gravity distorts space around it like a funhouse mirror. Light from background stars is stretched and smeared as the stars skim by the black hole.

Batman v Superman review - NO spoilers
I really enjoyed the movie and I donât understand why the reviews are so bad.
Visually, the movie is absolutely great. Itâs a cinematic beauty. Itâs faithful to the comics - as much as it could be - and the actors did a very good job. Affleckâs Batman is darker. Henry Cavill is.. Superman - I canât be objective, I love both Superman and Cavill, although.. the film may be about the idea of Superman, but there is almost nothing regarding who Superman is as a human and/or a god from another world. Eisenbergâs Lex Luthor is a quirky/awkward/psychotic delight, even though it'not the Lex Luthor we know. I love Gal Gadotâs parts as Wonder Woman, though her screen time was brief. But amid the visual treats is an utter mess of thinly sketched characters and haphazard plotting.. and I donât know if they wanted the movie to be a sequel to Man of Steel or just to introduce us to the future DCCU. A lot of characters and not a really good bonding storyline between them. This could easily have been a Superman stand-alone movie. It feels like Batman and the Future Justice League are interfering with the story, but the action of the movie is good and gets better as they go along. I really enjoyed watching this movie, this bridge between our reality and what will be DCCU. Canât wait for the rest of them.
Yes, it could have been better, but in the end I loved it. And itâs still a step up from âMan of Steelâ, so weâve got this working for us.
And, of course, the score was just beautiful, but what else to expect from Mr. Zimmer than perfection?
