The Fearlessness to Keep On Living is not about not being suicidal (thats for The Knowing I). its about making peace with the fact you cannot exist without being hurt and hurting others*. its about growing to be comfortable with having a voice and a presence in the world in spite of people who may abhor your truth and prefer your silence. thats why netzach does art and runs the floor of art, the process of self expression, communication, leaving something behind so it may be known that you were here. doing art for its own sake, living for your own sake, something that serves no objective function to the system yet humans cannot live without. proof that humans are living beings not machines. notion that existing alone is meaningful despite societys attempts to quantify peoples worth through usefulness. its also about the courage to form relationships and embrace vulnerability - opening yourself up to others risks so much pain for both you and them (this is symbolized by not 1 but 2 whole abnormalities on netzachs floor whose whole thing is “music that hurts you oof ow ouch”) but just like life itself we live in spite of pain for the good times and there will always be people who want to be with you despite the pain (this is also why netsed is GEM GEM GEM to me but im mentally castrating myself so i dont go on another dumb fucking nothingburger tangent). so live on without fear, okay? there is nothing to apologize for. existing is not a crime. you dont have to hide yourself so you wont hurt others. fuck censorship. make uncomfortable art forever.

so i'm a custodian.

whenever someone does something cool like shit on the bathroom floor or get blood all over a toilet, i have to close the bathroom down by blocking the doorway with a CLOSED sign.

this sign is big and bright. it says CLOSED in four languages and has a do not enter symbol. it completely blocks the doorway. the only way to enter is to look directly at the sign and either move it or climb over it.

almost every single time i shut down a bathroom so i can suit up and clean a biohazard, someone will enter the bathroom with a dead-eyed, slack-jawed expression and try to wordlessly walk past me to use a stall.

and every single time, i have to block their path and say, "this bathroom is closed. there is one directly down the hall, marked by signs. please leave," and they either try to argue that THEY specifically should be allowed to use this one, as if they are god's most special little guy, or express shock even though they, again, had to contend with the CLOSED sign to enter.

often, i am standing there in the middle of cleaning up bodily fluids having to firmly repeat myself. they always leave angry or confused.
