Lucy Renée Weston (Night Sparrow) is my tiny, disabled ex-cape with a wingspan that could blot a streetlight, a hyper-literal, justice-driven brain, and a danger sense set to nonexistent. I use her across multiverse settings — usually either freshly escaped from a blacksite at fourteen or retired and dragged back in at twenty-seven — with heavy themes of derealization, self-harm, csa, and child abuse. I am open to using her in any fandom but most commonly she has been used in batfamily, justice league, injustice, and my own private superhero universe.

Mönkhtsetseg “Monk” Altan-Erdene is my Mongolian cyro mage who works in the shadows as an underground vigilante known as Snowspire. She is focused almost exclusively on dismantling human trafficking networks. In my canon, she’s in a relationship with Tara Markov (Terra), and her main tie to Gotham is helping Tara take down Deathstroke. Monk engineers the paranoia and the setup, Tara delivers the kill. If anyone ever comes asking, Monk’s the one who’s prepared to take the fall so Tara can stay “dead” and free.

Had this idea that Damian felt as though Bruce was ashamed of him at the start because Bruce never let him around the flock of reports and paparazzi that mob him everywhere. But the truth is that Bruce is trying to protect him.
Dick was sexualised the minute he hit puberty and all the blackmail Bruce tried, pressure he applied and companies he bought up, couldn't stop those vultures from targeting his son. Dick started to get self conscious and was nervous to go out in public or to events or even to school. Dick was horrifically bullied over it even after he left Gotham.
Jason's past was splashed all over the papers. The newspapers published his personal documents such as his CPS records, testimonies from neighbours and "friends" of his father and mother. Jason's neglect and childhood abuse was splashed over the front pages. Bruce could do nothing but take revenge by blacklisting the journalists after the fact. Jason got bullied at school so bad that he wanted to transfer.
Tim's image is splashed over the tabloids, mostly images from mom and dad's funeral where he was crying. Speculation of why his parents were absent throughout his childhood, the state of their marriage and later, why Bruce adopted him. It got so bad that Tim used to wear hats and shades when he went out.
Cass was luckier than most and escaped most of the scrutiny since she didn't attend a lot of public events but then any time she did, everything about her was criticised from her hair to her clothes to the fact she never attends events. They make her out to be cold, distant, they even downright lie about her. Cass says it's water off a duck's back but Bruce is angry.
So when it comes to Damian, who is only nine and despite all his skills, is still very innocent of certain things and new to this life, Bruce vows to do it right this time. He will protect his baby at all costs even if Damian doesn't understand yet.
This has probably already been said bc im like 5 years late to the comics but like
this is from s1 ep21, the Christmas one where the batfam (excl. Bruce) are out helping the community n Bruce has their trackers up on his phone to see where they are and the three in the picture are Red Robin, Batwing and who I assumed to be Robin (Damian).
I scroll down and it's fucking Tim, Luke Fox and Jason. Jason. Which means Bruce hasn't changed his symbol from when he used to be Robin.
Do with that information what you will. I, personally, may lay down and try not to cry and then cry very hard.
Having a high awareness of language and understanding of nuance is hell. Like. I can’t just explain to someone like “your ellipses conveyed exasperation and the spaced question mark conveyed incredulity.”

One of the genuinely coolest things Smallville added to the Superman lore (attributing it here because I'm not sure that I've ever heard of it referenced elsewhere) was tones/auditory beacons that represented Kryptonian families. Info below from Smallville wiki:
Not only is it a super interesting play on a crest (alongside the House of El) but it's a fascinating insight into unique Kryptonian biology and does lead to interesting questions about their evolutionary communications, warfare, and identification across the cosmos (as some other alien species in the show were shown to be able to hear the beacons *wiki is incorrect here*).
