I’ve been gone from here for awhile. As you can see though I have been on this platform for a hot minute. Which makes me feel a little old but that’s ok. This account has no real theme just things that I like or relate to. Sometimes I do be posting my feelings in a poetry like format. However if it comes off that way is up for debate lol and that is ok :)

I think yesterday, had to be one of the hardest days I’ve had in a long time. And today I feel nothing but sadness. I know leaving had to be done for healing - but I didn’t want this.

I hope one day we will reconnect. And I hope you’ll forgive me.

Is this cryptic? Yes. On some real talk though yesterday fucking sucked. I had to walk away from some people who were just unfortunate bystanders. But it had to be done because they are a unit. You can’t have one without the other. That is the saddest part. I feel like shit for how this had to go. I hope my therapist is ready for this one.

There is something cathartic about the moments before taking that last step. The last act of kindness for yourself and that person. The act of walking away.

I knew it would hurt but I wasn’t remotely prepared for how much. I wasn’t prepared for how much I would grieve.

I wish it didn’t have to be this way. At this point I wish I never let anyone in.

The wild thing about designing tombstones is even though I may not have ever met the person - I still feel like I have. A lot of the time families will share stories, things that person liked/disliked, their personality and pretty much what ever they feel like sharing. Being able to know these things when designing just adds another layer of connection. So far the one that has stuck with me the most is the one I did for a persons brother and it was Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin inspired because he loved their music.
