I wish there were different words for the different types of forgetting because  when I say I forgot something, I don’t mean “I forgot we had plans on Friday.” I almost always mean “I forgot today was Friday.” I know my friend’s birthday is on March 20th, but I won’t wish her happy birthday on time because I won’t know it’s March 20th on March 20th. My forgetfulness has nothing to do with not caring about/remembering events and everything to do with my inability to keep up with the passage of time.

KPDH fic where through a convoluted series of events, Gwi-Ma ends up in a (very easily killable) human body and then ends up in a situation with Celine that requires both of them to work together to escape. If one of them dies, the other is stuck with no hope of leaving. Of course, Gwi-Ma sees this as a perfect opportunity to taunt Celine. Unfortunately, he forgot to take into account that Celine has even worse self-preservation than Rumi. The second the words "your fault" leave his mouth, her blades are at his throat. "I want to make this as clear as possible. If being stuck here forever is the price I pay for ending your life, that is an acceptable loss for me." Needless to say, Gwi-Ma spends the rest of the time they're stuck sweating bullets and trying to be as polite as possible.

Celine does plan on killing him the second they get out, but he doesn't need to know that.

With 'I parry everything' one thing I see people always say is how dumb Noor is. And yes he is kinda dumb, but more than that the guy grew up extremely isolated and alone and doesn't know much about the world. And other people who haven't seen how strong he is don't know enough about his life to correct his assumptions and everyone who does know think he is aware of everything and only reinforces his belief.

It's a little contrived as an explanation but still understandable and it keeps the story fresh even after 6 volumes of the Light Novel.
